Following their capture by New Zealand police, Lola and Chelsea arrive in Australia. Once more, the two go in search of freedom, but this time everything turns upside down.

Lola and Chelsea, who are evading the police and Leon's killer, take a detour to locate Sophie and explore the shady side of a remote mining town. Elsewhere, Maxine and Hamish look into Leon's murder.

An eccentric loner becomes Lola and Chelsea's haven. While Chelsea conceals her Huntington's symptoms, Lola's past haunts her. Meanwhile, Brady and Maxine sneak up on them, unbeknownst to the girls.

In the midst of Maxine and Brady's pursuit of the two fugitives, Lola and Chelsea come across a startling discovery, and their paths reunite.

The pressure of being on the run strains Lola and Chelsea's relationship, which is tested when Chelsea gets back in touch with an old friend and forces Lola to find closure with someone from her past.

After their attempt to flee is foiled, Lola and Chelsea rush to save the hikers from Susan, and Maxine has to make an important decision for the future.
