The people are subjected to many harassments by the Agha's bullies as money is collected from merchants and citizens by force. Kublai seeks to obtain an army of slaves from Fatima in order to get rid of As-Salih Ayyub.
Mansour meets Shaldam to search for a way to get rid of the Agha. Ubadah is robbed by the Agha, and the lady's money is lost, so Kublai orders his flogging. Kublai is disappointed when Fatima sends him only three soldiers.
Kublai plans to marry Khairat, and she tells him that she has distributed her money to the poor and needy, so he evades her. Othman asks for Zainab's hand in marriage. As Hassan takes advantage of the people's need for money, he buys houses and lands at the lowest prices.
Khairat discovers that Mansour embezzled her money, so she threatens to hand him over to the Agha unless he returns the money to her. As Mansour plans to take revenge on Khairat and Othman, he announces himself as the bully boy of El Husseiniya and imposes taxes on everyone, and Zainab refuses to marry him.
Mansour's men ask him to stay away from El Husseiniya for a while, fearing the people, so the Agha's men arrest him before he convinces Kublai of his desire to join him. Shaaban flees to Upper Egypt.
Kublai's men search for Othman and Shaaban, and the latter goes to Haredi and asks him that he travel with his wife on board his ship bound for Qena. Kublai warns Mansour not to tell anyone that he is plotting to set Shaaban's shop on fire.
A spy from the Tatars enters the neighborhood and gives the people money, asking them to get rid of As-Salih, so he gets arrested. Mansour discovers from Fakiha that Kublai is planning to marry Khairat.
Othman plans to go undercover to El Husseiniya in order to take his wife and escape, and the plan works out. Mansour enters Khairat's house in order to steal her money, but he fails. Kublai marries Khairat.
Kublai plots a conspiracy within King As-Salih's army and assassinate him. Kublai announces his need for volunteer soldiers from the neighborhood, so Mansour and his men volunteer. Othman kidnaps Mansour and asks him to provide him with weapons to get rid of Kublai.
Mansour asks the Agha to allow him to supervise the armory and sell weapons in secret. Mansour fulfills his promise to Shaaban and Othman and gives them weapons. Kublai steals money, and after Mansour is exposed, he flees to Syria.
A military legion is established in order to fight the enemies of Egypt. Prince Baibars arrives in El Husseiniya and is deeply impressed by the idea of forming an army from the neighborhood. Khairat searches for her stolen money.
Mansour tries to get close to Kublai's ex-wife. Also, he announces his repentance in front of his men. Hosnia discovers a cache of gold and jewels belonging to the lady she works for, whereupon the lady grows suspicious of her.
Othman and his men disguise themselves as crusaders in order to trap Kublai and get rid of him. After their departure, Kublai discovers the matter and arrests Zainab, whom he asks to find out where Othman is.
Kublai's wife asks him to release Zainab, but he refuses, whereupon the people revolt against him, so he releases her. Mansour deceives the prison guard, Qatash, and releases the prisoners. Qashtamar is arrested by Othman, after which he confesses to Kublai's complicity with the Crusaders.
Kublai asks Mansour to bring a howdah to take his wife to the Levant. Kublai discovers that Mansour has betrayed him, and the Agha's men attack Mansour's house and kill his wife.
Umm Fakiha (Fakiha's mother) is robbed by bandits in the Ridaniya desert, so she asks for Kublai's help, but he refuses to help her. The sheikh prevents Mansour from killing Kublai. Mohja helps Othman and Shaaban to get rid of Kublai and confront the Crusaders.
The Crusaders win the battle in Damietta, and King Louis celebrates. As Kublai discovers that Othman and Mohja are in the house, he and his guards get arrested. Baibars' army prepares to confront the French and the Crusaders.
The Crusaders' forces approach, so El Husseiniya's army prepares to confront them and defend the homeland. The Crusaders flee to Mansoura, and the battle ends with the victory of Prince Aktai's army. Shaaban is wounded in the battle, so Othman tries to save him.
