When her son gets released after 10 years in prison, Umm Walid (Walid's mother) eagerly awaits his return home. Abdel Hady learns that some important work documents have gone missing and he tries to find them.

Walid quarrels with his sister for her mistreatment of him, as she pours scorn on him for being imprisoned. Abdel Hady futilely searches for the missing documents and tries to work out who could be responsible for taking them.

As he gets a job to fix the TV receiver at a house, Ibrahim is shocked when he recognizes the picture of his father Abdel Hady, who has walked out on him. Abdel Hady asks Sanad to come to the company early, and he confronts him with the stolen documents he found in his office.

Walid's relationship with his sister improves as time passes. Meanwhile, Ibrahim tries to figure out what he will do with his father who didn't recognize him. He eventually leaves home.

The daughter of the dismissed employee futilely begs Abdel Hady to forgive her father, and Abdel Hady's son helps her in secret. His father learns that his son is helping the girl out of love as he wants to marry her.

Ibrahim returns home but he still refuses to reconcile with Walid. Walid learns that his sister is treating him kindly just to please their mother. Abdel Hady accepts to wed his son to Sanad's daughter. Ibrahim tells Walid he saw their father.

When Abdel Hady finds a mysterious letter on his desk, he gets confused and loses consciousness. Ziad and Mounira discuss finding a job for her father. Walid confronts his sister about what she said about him.

Abdel Hady tries to get Ziad to reveal his true feelings for Mounira. Ziad visits Sanad and tells him he's looking for another job for him. Abdel Hady receives a call from an anonymous caller, blackmailing him for money and threatening to expose him through the documents he has.

Ibrahim devises a plot to get money from his father. Abdel Hady tries to figure out who the mysterious caller who knows his darkest secrets is. Walid's sister is suspended from work.

As Walid's mother gets worried about him when he stays out late, she urges Ibrahim to search for him. A few hours before his wedding, Ziad tells his father he doesn't want to marry Mounira. Walid's mother sees Abdel Hady for the first time in years before Ziad's wedding.

A week after Walid disappears and refuses to pick up his phone, he decides to confront his father for the first time, but the latter gives him the cold shoulder. A hopeless Walid returns home and divulges to his siblings the truth; he went to prison to cover up for his father's crimes.

The mother brings out a file with sensitive documents pertaining to Abdel Hady's past. Walid and Ibrahim collaborate to work in the shop. Ziad and Mounira try to figure a way to co-exist.

The mother refuses for her children to bring to the surface any talk about Abdel Hady. Abdel Hady heads to the police department to get Soliman out. After years of separation, he decides to visit his ex-wife, Suhaila, and his children, who put him face to face with his perfidy and vileness.

Suhaila falls ill and is transferred to the hospital following Abdel Hady's visit. Prior to her graduation, Mounira has an accident. Ziad asks Abdel Hady and Suhaila to stay at his house, but Suhaila refuses.

When Walid and his siblings mention inheritance to their mother, she vehemently opposes any discussion of the matter because their father's money is ill-begotten. Suhaila tells Walid about the secret file that incriminates Abdel Hady. Mounira asks Ziad for a divorce.

The three siblings visit their father for the first time at his house where they meet their half-brother, Soliman. Things get complicated when Suhaila shows up and prevents them from ever returning to her house.

Suhaila has a mental breakdown. Abdel Hady asks Ibrahim to reconcile him and Soliman. Abdel Hady promises to make it up to Walid, but Walid threatens to expose him. Abdel Hady sneaks into his children's house in an attempt to find the documents proving his guilt.

Walid is shocked to find the house in mayhem following his father's frantic search. As Suhaila wakes up, Abdel Hady visits her and threatens to inflict suffering upon Tiba and Ibrahim if she doesn't give him the file.

Soliman learns that he has a son with his American girlfriend. Walid tells his siblings about the check he got from their father. He tells his mother that his father searched their house. Tiba gets engaged to Walid's best friend.

Walid asks Abdel Hady to attend Tiba's engagement party, but Abdel Hady refuses out of his disapproval of the match. Soliman's father kicks him out when he insists on admitting his paternity to his American son. Soliman learns that Walid was imprisoned to cover up for his father.

Abdel Hady asks Soliman to take his son back to his American mother. Mounira graduates from university and Ziad throws a party in celebration. Abdel Hady's sister reveals to him the truth about her chronic disease.

Ziad travels with Mounira for a week. Abdel Hady threatens to do harm unto Suhaila's children if she doesn't give him the file. Walid asks Soliman to speak the truth and stand against his father's tyranny. Ziad goes to Suhaila's house to learn the truth.

Ziad and Soliman discuss what they've learned about their father, and Walid provides them with a letter that proves Sanad's involvement in framing Walid for the charge that sent him to prison.

A young woman tries to sow discord between Ziad and Mounira. Walid and Ibrahim argue over Ziad and Soliman's rights from their mother. Mounira learns what Walid went through because of her father. Abdel Hady beats Soliman and pushes him down the stairs. Soliman is rushed to the hospital.

Soliman leaves the hospital. Ziad files to remove his father's guardianship. Abdel Hady tries to win Ibrahim over. Suhaila visits Abdel Hady's sister to check up on her.

Ziad learns that someone sneaked into his house to steal the documents incriminating Abdel Hady. Ziad has a slip of the tongue and reveals to Ibrahim that the documents in question are with Soliman. Soliman goes missing in mysterious circumstances.

Ziad finds Soliman's dead body in the villa, and all suspicions revolve around Ibrahim, since he was the last person Soliman met. The police interrogate both Ibrahim and Abdel Ghany.

Walid is summoned for questioning, and he mentions the evidence against Abdel Hady. When Ziad's wife, Mounira, is also questioned, she speaks of the last time she saw Soliman and what led her to suspect Ibrahim.

The police investigate Abdel Hady, Mounira, and the others, primarily suspecting the girl with whom Soliman was involved. Soliman's funeral is held and Abdel Hady breaks down.

When Nada, Soliman's ex-lover, confesses to murdering him, Ibrahim is acquitted. To atone for what Abdel Hady did, Ziad's mother gives all her money to Ziad and his siblings.
