As the Hajj dies after a long period of illness, he charges his eldest son with looking after his siblings. Mostafa starts working for a seamstress to provide for his siblings, who graduate from school one by one.

Amal goes through hell with her husband, whose cruel treatment of her son leads the latter to pursue a way to go abroad, even though his mother begs him to stay with her. When Mariam asks her father to get her a computer like her friends, he promises to buy her one when she finishes her education.

As Hatem meets his friend who taught him everything he knows about sewing, he tells him about his siblings and his daughter who wants to study a craft instead of the regular education. Amal welcomes her siblings to her house.

When Amal tells her husband that Ghalia wants to get married, her nieces rejoice the news. Zain clashes with his colleague at the hospital, but they eventually reconcile.

Suheiba is saddened that Ghalia is going to get married. Amal advises her husband to remember that she and her son own a significant share in the company, so he should not make any decision without consulting her.

Feeling jealous, Amal questions Zain on his decision to appoint Khawla as the head of a department, even though she hasn't earned it. When Hatem visits El Ghaly at the hospital and asks him for a loan, the latter invites him to his house to give him the money.

Zain decides to leave the house after Amal accuses him of having an affair with Khawla, leaving Amal furious. As El Ghaly and Hatem have a heart-to-heart, the police arrive at the hospital looking for El Ghaly.

As the police search the offices, the officer asks El Ghaly to open his desk's drawers then arrests him. Zain informs Amal that he is going to divorce her and leave the country. Mariam quarrels with her mother over the latter's distrust of her.

As El Ghaly remains detained at the police station, the officer summons everyone related to the case and awaits the arrival of the nurse, who holds the evidence of El Ghaly's innocence. Zain moves into a hotel after leaving Amal. Hatem tells his wife about what happened to him.

With her husband's departure and her son's arrest, Amal soon grows tired of living alone, prompting her sister to arrive to stay with her. Mohamed decides to leave the country and go to Spain.

When Zain goes back home, Amal happily welcomes him back, only for him to tell her that El Ghaly will remain in prison for a while. Zain tries to get El Ghaly released on bail. As Mohamed quarrels with his travel companions on the way to Spain on a boat, one of them hits him over the head.

As Zain hires a lawyer for El Ghaly, the nurse testifies against the latter. Amal remains devastated over her son. The nurse gives a sum of money to the guy who pressed charges against El Ghaly, since the two of them are plotting to frame El Ghaly.

On the day of the trial, the lawyer manages to prove that El Ghaly did not take a bribe since his fingerprints are not on the envelope the money was in. The lawyer also proves that El Ghaly is rich and actually owns shares in the hospital.

With his wife ill and in the hospital, Bashir meets the guy who incited him to falsely accuse El Ghaly. As El Ghaly gets released, all those implicated in the case get arrested.

Amal rejoices El Ghaly's release and asks him to put the experience behind him. El Ghaly thanks Zain for supporting him and hiring a lawyer for him.

Mariam's silent pining for El Ghaly leaves her saddened since El Ghaly does not reciprocate her feelings. Zain changes his ways and invites Hatem and his friend over. El Ghaly meets his girlfriend at the coffee shop.

As Hatem and Zain go to visit the Hajja, Hatem gets her to speak to Souad on the phone. The police look into the issue of illegal immigration to Europe. Mariam hopes to get married to El Ghaly.

When Mariam gets into an accident, her sister goes to the police station to pick her up after Mariam files charges against the guy who ran her over. El Ghaly visits Mariam to check up on her. Mohamed becomes homeless.

Zain decides to give Amal her share in the company. Hatem renovates his store. The police arrest one of those responsible for smuggling immigrants via sea to Spain. Mohamed's mother continues to look for her son.

As El Ghaly meets his grandmother and his aunt Souad, he tries to reconcile his aunt and his mother, but both of them refuse. Hatem asks his wife to care for Shimaa. Mariam visits Amal.

Mohamed's friend tries to go to Spain illegally. As Hatem grows angry with his wife for hiding the news about Mariam from him, his wife rebukes Mariam for going to Amal daily.

When Mohamed's friend gets arrested, he gives up the people who were supposed to get him to Spain. The Hajja visits Amal and asks after El Ghaly, whom she hasn't seen in a while.

As Amal quarrels with her husband for hiring a new female employee, he feels sorry that she hasn't changed her ways. As Souad goes to spend a few days with her mother, she asks her daughter not to bother her father.

When Mariam meets Omar on the beach, her mother grows angry when she sees her, but Mariam tries to justify her actions by claiming that they were discussing work. Amal asks El Ghaly to focus on his work and disregard her issues with her husband. The Hajja and Souad try to marry Mariam off.

When the Hajj passes away, Amal and Suheiba mourn him. Mariam grows close to Omar who decides to marry her.

Zain leaves the house after a fight with Amal and goes to stay with the Hajja. When Suheiba falls ill, Souad brings her some medication, but Suheiba insists on eating honey after taking it.

When Mohamed is rushed to the hospital after being hit over the head, El Ghaly becomes his doctor and informs Mohamed's mother about his location. Zain tries to reconcile with Amal as a result of the Hajja's mediation.

As Shimaa passes her exams, her father buys her a computer. Zain evaluates the family's properties. Mariam remains hung up on El Ghaly despite her engagement to the lawyer.

As Mohamed wakes up from his coma, much to his mother and the Hajja's happiness, Zain and a police officer question him about the incident. El Ghaly asks his mother to get back together with Zain.

Amal meets her husband at a restaurant and makes a deal with him to control her jealousy to fix their relationship. El Ghaly decides not to marry Mariam. Hatem asks Shimaa to continue her education and find a job.
