A tribe lives in the desert, and is ruled by a woman, who relies on her son, the father of Ghazii and Enimesh, but he gets killed in an armed attack launched by Algerian fighters.

Enimesh's mother brushes her hair, while she is on her lap, and hopes that she will grow up to be a strong woman. Ghazii is captured by two bandits, but he manages to escape, while a group of armed men attack the tents of the tribe.

Confrontations occur between the desert tribe and the armed men. As two horsemen go to the Sheikh telling him that Ghazii has been killed, Enimesh cries for him. The tribes in the Western Sahara of Morocco seek independence.

The Sheikh grieves for Ghazii. While sadly sitting under a tree, Hassan meets two young men and tells them that Ghazii has died, but they don’t believe them. As Ghazii's mother is between life and death, Muhammad goes to check on her.

As Enimesh runs away, her mother thinks she’s dead after Hassan told her that he couldn't find her, whereupon a man finds her, takes her to his tent, and ties her up so that she doesn’t escape. When an old man comes asking for water, she tries to call on him for help, to no avail.

As a group of armed men attacks some tents, the man flees with Enimesh, who’s sad because she couldn’t get rid of him. After Muhammad's death, his mother gives his sword and izaar to Hassan in order for him to be the leader of the horsemen in the tribe.

A girl in the tribe falls for and watches Hassan, while he grieves the loss of both his friend and Enimesh, who is still held by the man who kidnapped her, meanwhile he starts working in her tribe and she doesn’t know.

The man starts working for Enimesh's mother, who doesn’t trust him. He gets shot in front of his tent and dies, whereupon two armed men enter the tent and take Enimesh, who tries to escape, but one of them manages to catch her, so she begs him to let her go.

The two men take a scared Enimesh to their house, where they lock her up, but one of them gives her food. As the old man finds footprints, he wants to follow them to find out where Enimesh is. Hassan and Mustafa go out into the desert to find the gang that shot at them at night.

Mustafa betrays his friend Hassan and tries to shoot at the tribe, but Hassan manages to catch him and punish him by tying him to a log. As Enimesh runs away from the two men, Hassan finds her, and she asks him for help, so he takes her away on the back of his horse.

As Hassan and Enimesh arrive at the tribe, Muhammad's mother tries to talk to her and find out her identity, but Enimesh remains silent. The old man and his friend sit in the tent talking about the past.

The Hajja dies after she was sick, and everyone grieves for her to the point that Hassan leaves the tribe and goes away. As Enimesh changes her dirty clothes and spruces up, the girl who likes Hassan becomes jealous of her.

Hassan returns to the tribe and talks to Enimesh, who starts to fall for him. Enimesh befriends the women, but the girl who loves Hassan tries to poison her because she is afraid that she’ll win the love of Hassan, who’s already been thinking of her a lot.

Hassan is still competing with Mustafa for leadership of the tribe, although the Chief chose Hassan; meanwhile Mustafa tries to get close to the Chief, who throws the pot in which Enimesh is cooking on the floor, filling her with surprise at her behavior.

Enimesh befriends the Chief, whom she’s begun to warm up to. As Mustafa is upset by the presence of Enimesh in the tribe, his wife is surprised by his stance. When an armed gang attacks the tribe, Hassan and the rest of the horsemen set out to confront it, and an exchange of fire ensues.

As the girl who loves Hassan threatens Enimesh, she gets upset, but doesn’t heed her words. Enimesh finds her mother's dress on the floor, so she takes it and goes to the Chief crying. Mustafa and Hassan for a ride away from the tribe.
