As Osama is sent to prison, he starts to recount his so-called adventures to the inmates, who believe his stories and do whatever he says. When one of his neighbors arrives at the prison, he reveals the truth to the inmates.
Osama is transferred to another cell, where he meets an old man named Al-Bashir who tells him about his adventures in stealing a treasure from a train in the desert.
As Osama's cellmate Al-Bashir dies, he leaves him a paper that has clues to the treasure map, and he tries to get out of prison by all means to get it.
After Osama comes out of prison, he runs into Mubarak and the two agree to look for the treasure, much to the delight of the former's wife and daughter. Al-Tayeb, who owns half the treasure map, agrees to accompany them for the sake of having an adventure.
When a guy flirts with Mubarak's girlfriend, Mubarak quarrels with him as his girlfriend denies having any connection to the guy. As Salima starts working in the cosmetics field, she refuses to wed Mubarak, while her father still remembers prison and his false adventures.
After he is introduced to Salima, Al-Tayeb goes to visit Ouchen at home to show him the other part of the map. As Mubarak is surprised and happy, Ouchen's wife accuses him of stealing his money.
As his wife keeps watch, Ouchen, his daughter, and Al-Tayeb don a disguise to enter the police station, where they get to digging until they find the map. The trio decide to embark on a journey to find the treasure.
As Osama and his family enter Al-Tayeb's house behind his back, he mistakes them for thieves, until Osama befriends his family. Salima tries to get close to Osama, who looks for a job in the city.
As Osama buys a transport vehicle, he and Mubarak decide to use it for work. Salima is thrilled with her father's new endeavor. Two unknown men monitor Osama.
As Osama takes his family, Mubarak, and Al-Tayeb on a trip, the vehicle breaks down when they run out of gasoline. Their car troubles don't end there as the vehicle breaks down again soon after. As Osama attempts to get it running, he ends up making things worse.
Osama and his family are captured by some locals who mistake them for thieves. As they bring them to the tribal Sheikh, Mubarak and Al-Tayeb make their escape, but they are eventually caught and brought to the Sheikh as well.
During their trip, Ouchen and his family are hosted by a good Samaritan. Mubarak tries to get close to Salima, who in turn tries to approach Al-Tayeb.
As Osama tries to escape the tribe, Al-Tayeb and Mubarak lend him their help. Osama runs into trouble in trying to get the vehicle running.
As Salima runs into Al-Tayeb at a wedding, her admiration of him is noticed by Okasha. When Salima denies it, Al-Tayeb accuses her of taking advantage of him.
When Salima runs into Al-Tayeb in the street, he tries to reconcile with her. As Al-Tayeb meets a Sheikh, they discuss how the neighborhood's Sheikh is gathering money to send the neighborhood's children to a school in the city.
Al-Tayeb and his friends go out with Salima and Okasha. While they make it out of the city, they run into two young men riding a donkey.
When Al-Tayeb is taken hostage by a man who believes him to be a spy, Ouchen rushes to save him. Salima claims to be Al-Tayeb's wife, much to his confusion, and Mubarak's jealous.
When Osama decides to wed the daughter of the tribal Sheikh, his wife grows wroth and accuses him of stealing her money. As his wife plots to smear him in front of the tribe, the new bride plays on his feelings for her.
As Osama reconciles with his wife, the family prepares to leave. Osama ends up taking the girl he was going to marry along after she asks him to save her sweetheart.
As the tribal girl reunites with her family, Osama informs her brother that he won't be marrying her. Osama goes back to his family and takes them on another trip, along with Mubarak and Al-Tayeb. Their new destination is a region that desperately needs a doctor.
As Osama meets with the doctor, she reveals that the village children need medicine and antidotes, but she is at a loss as to how to get them transported. With Salima's support, Al-Tayeb decides to transport the necessary medication to the village.
As Osama and Al-Tayeb make a stop, they meet a few journalists. They discuss the governmental efforts to help the children in-need and the efforts of the local organizations to help at-risk children.
As Mubarak picks up a pregnant woman, Salima and her mother try to care for her. As the woman goes into labor on the road at night, Osama's mother helps deliver her, and they all celebrate the safe arrival of the baby.
The woman calls her newborn son after Al-Tayeb. As the treasure hunt continues, everyone leaves the vehicle for a break and end up falling asleep. A shepherd finds them and takes them to his tent.
As the family trip continues, they reach a village where a woman called Mariam resides. Mariam is rumored to be aware of where the treasure is buried in the desert.
The family visits a woman who mistakes them for thieves, until Osama reveals that he knew her late husband. Osama asks her to show him the papers left by her late husband so that he could find the treasure map. Osama's wife remains persistent in her demands that he return her stolen money.
As Osama takes the family to his mother's house, he ends up fighting with his wife after she tells his mother that he stole her money. Salima introduces Al-Tayeb to her grandmother.
As Osama finally locates the map, he confides in his friend, who is an inspector. As they look for the money, Osama's wife and daughter take a fall along with Al-Tayeb. Osama fights with the inspector.
As everyone looks for the treasure, Salima ends up finding a lead. As Mubarak grows ill and passes out, Osama tries to get him home.
As Osama returns home to meet his mother and the inspector, he informs the latter of the treasure's location. Mubarak recovers. Osama has a fight with the inspector.
