In March 2020, the adverse effects of the Coronavirus pandemic take their toll on the lives of the employees at Cloud 9. Amy continues her job as store manager, as her new job in California is postponed.

As Amy and Jonah prepare to move away, things take an unexpected turn. Meanwhile, Dina begins a quest for a new best friend, and Glenn and Mateo make a video tribute for Amy.

Dina isn't happy about Jonah's decision to apply for the floor supervisor position, while Glenn makes an ill-thought decision, which turns out badly.

As Cloud 9 sets up a prize wheel for customers, Glenn has a mishap and Dina winds up being in charge of the store. Meanwhile, Jonah received good news regarding a job opportunity.

Cloud 9 reforms its policy regarding locking up Black beauty products, which leads the employees to address the systemic racism practiced at the store, aided by Glenn, who is still in quarantine.

Glenn comes back to his job, only to find that Dina is still in charge, so he enlists the help of Cheyenne and Bo to remedy the situation. Meanwhile, Jonah and Mateo provide Sandra with the medical needs of her cat.

Concerned about Jonah, his co-workers devise a plan in the hopes of helping him move on. Cheyenne is tasked with watching Carol, while Dina and Garrett uncover a secret.

On Sandra's son's first day working at Cloud 9, she asks Jonah to train him, which eventually leads to trouble. Cheyenne asks Mateo's advice on how to be a better floor supervisor. Things get awkward between Garrett and Dina.

Glenn is vexed by Zephra's non-religious approach to running the store. Meanwhile, a forgotten memory makes Jonah have doubts about his friendship with Garrett.

Jonah helps an overwrought Glenn simmer down, as Carol's lawyer arrives at Cloud 9 to take the employees' depositions, while Mateo desperately tries to hide the truth, and Dina makes a confusing realization.

As the store closes for deep cleaning, Glenn turns to Garrett to help him throw a party for the employees, while Dina gets in over her head during the cleanup and seeks Cheyenne's help.

When Jeff comes back to the store, pushing for the use of customer satisfaction surveys, Glenn and Dina's idea to increase the survey scores goes south; meanwhile, Mateo tries to keep his sexual orientation from Jeff.

As the son of Cloud 9's founder arrives at the store unexpectedly, the employees reluctantly carry out his odd instructions. Garrett comes to Dina's aid in a Brian-related problem. Jonah and Sandra try to suss out disconcerting news.

With the store most likely to be closed, the employees at Cloud 9 try their best to keep it open, yet an unforeseen incident makes their mission even harder.

Amy returns to St. Louis, while Sandra helps Dina make a tough decision, yet the future holds a lot of surprises in store for the Cloud 9 family.
