Reddington sends his squad to free Liz from FBI custody while implanting a chip in Page's neck to track down Townsend, who concurs. Liz travels to Latvia with Reddington to learn the things she's been dying to know.
Liz learns about her mother's past as a Russian agent, her relationship with the real Reddington, and that the Katarina Red killed was a prop used to simulate the death. Townsend attacks before Liz finds out who Reddington is or where Katarina is. Reddington turns on a self-destruction mechanism.
Reddington carries a wounded Liz after murdering Townsend and his soldiers. Reddington tells Liz about his plan for her to kill him, but Liz finds it hard and gets shot dead. Dembe takes Reddington and flees as Ressler and the task group arrive at the crime scene.
