Janice is not pleased when a former romantic partner and coworker is appointed as Dispatch's new manager. Cullen and Tolbeck, recently demoted, notice some suspicious activity while monitoring San Diego's red-light district.

As part of Cullen's assignment to assist Officer Charles Brock in getting a crucial witness extradited for the Las Hormigas Cartel investigation, Clint starts to bring in new technology.

As a more worn-out Brock adjusts to his new life, Cullen tries to set limits. Janice grows more irate over BopBot's intrusion, and Chief and Gary have to make up for their wrongdoings.

FBI Agent Dustin Kasprowicz pays Cullen and Tolbeck a surprise visit. Gary and Chief plan their next course of action, and Janice tries to talk Fatima into starting to look for other job opportunities.

Although Leon organizes his retirement celebration, Cullen and Tolbeck are dubious of his motivations. When Clint confronts Janice about her distaste for the BopBot, the discussion soon devolves into a recap of their previous romantic relationship.

A representative from Kasprowicz questions disgraced former detective Josh Haldeman. A new, unimpressed partner is assigned to Cullen.

Gary needs to decide what to do with Yaya while on the run. Fatima confronts Janice. Cullen is partnered with Lieutenant Sophie Beyers, his girlfriend.

Cullen must bear the fallout from the loss of yet another crucial witness in the Las Hormigas Cartel probe. Janice returns to Dispatch to confront Clint and break the devastating news.
