A top-secret mission that could change the course of World War II is offered to Jack, Richard, and the Aerojet team by the military, but it comes with high scrutiny of Jack's private life.

When Ernest accepts the Magus' invitation to stay at the Parsonage, Jack begins to wonder about the intentions of both men. Richard learns that Marisol has been keeping a secret from him that might endanger their relationship.

Following the disappearance of Jack's breakthrough fuel formula from his office, which he believes was taken by an enemy spy, Virgil turns on Ernest after discovering that Patty has also joined the Agape.

Ernest becomes devoted to Jack after he conjures up the angel, but this also causes division among the Agape. Susan encounters a barrier in her quest to have Thelema recognized as a religion.

Agent Wallace's growing suspicions threaten Jack's goals, so in an attempt to reassure them all that they have nothing to fear, Jack invites Wallace, General Braxton, and their fellow service members to a summer dinner party.

After the unfortunate party at the Parsonage, Jack's security clearance gets lost and he has to make a risky deal with Wallace to get it back.

After learning of her sister's transgressions, Susan decides to work with Virgil to further her goals. Marisol gets heartbreaking news, and Jack has a chance to win back the military's favor, but the price might be too great to bear.
