As Lala Manana’s husband dies, she and her daughters hold a funeral, and the neighbors come to offer their condolences. Her daughters grieve for their father, and Bahiya checks her father’s things as she remembers him in tears. While at the funeral, the women of the area start badmouthing Lala Manana.

As the girls want to visit their father's grave, Manana yells at them and tries to stop them, but the grandmother takes them to the graveyard. Manana becomes very strict with her daughters out of her fear of people talking about them after her husband's death, and the girls are fed up with staying at home.

Manana finds her daughters dancing at the wedding of someone from the area, so she beats them, locks them in, and tells them that they'll only leave the house to their husbands' houses or their graves. As Zubaydah wants to get one of the girls engaged to her son, Sa'adiya tells the girls what she's heard.

The girls prepare sweets for when Zubaydah comes. As Bahiya accidentally burns the sweets, her sister Rahima tries to console her. When Zubaydah comes, each one of them wishes to be the bride, especially Bahiya, since she's the older sister, but Zubaydah chooses Maria, the youngest one.

Bahiya, Shama, and Rahima are angry with Maria because Emad chose her because she owns the lands and the house she inherited from her father, as they are her half-sisters on her mother's side, and Maria grieves, while Zubaydah, Emad's mother, wants her son to marry Maria because she is rich.

Zubaydah goes to Manana's house, officially asks for Maria's hand in marriage for her son, and presents her with gold. Emad is very sad because he actually loves Shama and not Maria, and he tries to talk to Maria and make her understand that it was his mother who made a mistake and chose Maria.

With Manana's help, the police arrest the worker on Manana's land for growing marijuana without permission. Emad tells Shama that he loves her and does not want anyone else. Shama tells her sisters that Emad is flirting with her, which saddens Maria a lot.

Shama quarrels with Bahiya and tells her that Emad is her lover and Maria cannot take him from her. Meanwhile, Emad's mother goes to meet Manana in order to expedite the wedding of the newly-engaged couple.

Shama secretly meets Emad, who tells her that he loves her and promises that he will find a solution to the problem, while Maria prepares herself for the wedding and buys fabrics with her sisters. Madany admires Rahima and flirts with her in front of her house.

Emad quarrels with his mother and tells her that he doesn't want to marry Maria, and she threatens him that she will disown him if he doesn't marry her. Shama faints as she quarrels with Bahiya, and the doctor comes to see her, but at night, she runs away from home.

Shama runs away, and as Sa'adiya learns, she tells the girls and Manana, who gets angry and tells her daughters that she won't look for her as long as she chose the street, but Bahiya quarrels with her and wants to look for her, as she's young, telling her mother that she's tired of her control over them.

As Shama’s sisters search for her everywhere, Bahiya goes to the police, meets Kamal the inspector, and asks for his help. Also, Rahima asks for Madany's help, then suddenly, Shama returns with the grandmother, and her sisters rejoice at her return.

The grandmother tells Manana that her daughter Shama is pregnant with Emad's child, much to Manana's surprise. The girls prepare for Maria and Emad's wedding, and he also prepares the house and brings gifts, and on the day of the wedding, he finds Shama instead of Maria, much to his delight.

Emad is happy because he finally married Shama, but when his mother learns that the bride was Shama and not Maria, she rages and goes to quarrel with Manana, who throws her out. As Shama hears Emad's mother complaining about his marriage to her, she picks up her bag and returns to her mother's house.

When Shama returns home, Manana tries to patch things up between her and her sister Maria, but Bahiya gets angry with her and burns her things, whereupon Maria decides to leave the house, and her sisters grieve for her.

Shama quarrels with Zubaydah, leaves the house, goes to her mother, and complains about her mother-in-law, while Emad is tired of the many quarrels between his mother and Shama. Madany wants to marry Rahima, even though he's married to Aisha, and she tells him that she loves him, and Bahiya sees them.

Manana discovers Rahima's relationship with Madany, gets angry with her, and scolds Madany, who brings his wife Aisha to get Rahima engaged to him, which surprises Manana and her daughters. Shama quarrels with her mother-in-law and falls out of bed while she's pregnant, and Emad is tired of their problems.

Shama always goes to her mother's house, and Bahiya is jealous of her. The girls are surprised by how Aisha has asked for someone's hand in marriage for her husband. They are also surprised by how Rahima agrees to be with Madany, and the grandmother suspects that there is some plot.

As Aisha agrees to give Madany her consent to his marriage on the condition that he signs over the house to her, he gets angry with her and beats her. While Manana celebrates the wedding of Rahima and Madany, the latter is overjoyed.

On the morning after Madany and Rahima's wedding, Aisha informs the police that her husband has a woman in the house who's not his wife, so they are arrested, as Madany didn't get Aisha's consent to his marriage. Rahima's sisters quarrel with Aisha, and Emad's mother gloats over Manana's trouble.

Bahiya and Shama go to the police station and meet the officer, who tells them that the case is difficult and that Rahima will be imprisoned, and he gives Rahima's things to Manana, who is in a state of great sadness. Bahiya takes care of her neighbor's kid every day at home.

Bahiya visits Rahima in prison and tells her about her mother’s condition and about her quarrel with Sa'adiya. Also, she meets Officer Kamal, who invites her to have a chat with him and get something to eat, so she goes out with him, but as she's in a hurry, he's unable to tell her how he feels about her.

Officer Kamal tells Bahiya that Emad drowned in the sea during his illegal immigration, and Zubaydah goes to Manana's house, asks for Shama's forgiveness, and invites her to return to the house. Rahima gets out of prison and contacts Madany, but he tries to evade her.

When Aisha discovers that Madany is still trying to approach Rahima, who's rejecting him, she quarrels with him and threatens him. Madany goes to Rahima's house, pleading with her to forgive him, and when Bahiya sees her, she quarrels with her. Kamal goes to meet Manana to ask for Bahiya's hand in marriage.

Emad returns to Morocco and finds Shama talking a lot to Officer Kamal, so he grows suspicious of her, watches her, and finds that she's always meeting him. Bahiya tells Kamal that she doesn't like men and that she's developed issues regarding them. Rahima asks Madany to divorce her so that she can remarry.

As Madany refuses to divorce Rahima, Aisha sees her talking to him and tries to beat her, and he kicks her out of the house. Emad goes to court to divorce Shama as he suspects that she's having an affair with Kamal, but the judge refuses, and she runs away from Emad's house. Bahiya refuses to marry Kamal.

As Emad takes Shama to a remote house, her sisters look for her everywhere, and even Sa'adiya and the guard look for her until Kamal discovers her location, so he goes with Bahiya to Emad, who gets angry at Kamal for asking about his wife, while Rahima asks Madany to either divorce her or Aisha.

Lala Manana goes to Emad's house and asks him to divorce Shama because she worries about her with him, but he refuses. Manana also goes to Madany's house, quarrels with him, and asks him to divorce Rahima.

Madany divorces Rahima and she grieves a lot, while Aisha gets arrested for theft, and Madany rejoices. Shama decides not to contact Emad again, and she insists on a divorce, despite his refusal. On the other hand, Bahiya agrees to marry Kamal.

As Shama gives birth, Maria returns from travel to visit her, while Bahiya celebrates the wedding of her and Kamal in a family celebration. Madany begs Rahima to get back together with him, but she shuts the door in his face, and Sa'adiya and the guard decide to get married.
