The landlord, Ramzy Al-Dahshan, sues his neighbors Nawal and the baker to kick them out of the building. As the tenants complain about Ramzy, the latter's relatives share their frustration. Ramzy recalls how his brother's theft of his rights made him into the cruel man he is today.
As Khalil asks Ramzy for 300 thousand dollars to launch his currency trading business, he reminds Ramzy of what he did to him in the past when he bought the warehouse. Gad and Awny plot to bring down Ramzy. When Al-Dakroury gets out of prison, Ramzy grows concerned.
Ramzy discovers that Awny is plotting with Gad and Khalil to bring him down. Nawal tells her daughter that Ramzy used to be a good man but being the victim of injustice changed him. Ramzy prepares a counter-plan to get back at Khalil after making Awny into a double agent.
Ramzy reconciles with Al-Dakroury and gives him back his rights, even though he was the one who got him imprisoned. As Awny devises a plan with Ramzy to bring Khalil down, he agrees with Khalil to implement the same plan with Ramzy, eventually deceiving them both and running away with the money.
As Ramzy and Khalil trade accusations, the lawyer tells Ramzy that Awny fled with the money. As Ramzy passes out from the shock, his relatives refuse to visit him at the hospital. Nawal visits Ramzy as he asks to meet Kamal.
Nawal asks Kamal to visit his uncle at the hospital. As Kamal arrives at the hospital, he recalls his uncle's cruel treatment of him. When he finally sees his uncle, the latter tells him that he made his large fortune by seizing the rightful inheritance of orphans.
Khalil and Gad devise a plan to rob Ramzy while he is at the hospital, but the thieves get electrocuted when they try to open the safe. Ramzy asks Kamal to find the children of the guy whose money he stole to give them back their money. Kamal learns that one of the heirs has died and the other is in prison.
Kamal visits his uncle's lawyer and tells him that his uncle wants him for an urgent matter. Khalil offers Nawal money to reveal Awny's location, but Nawal tells him that she doesn't know where Awny is and kicks him out.
Khalil kicks Nazih out and threatens to get revenge on Kamal. Kamal asks the family to visit Ramzy. A disguised man tries to kill Ramzy, but Ramzy defends himself.
When Ramzy gets released from the hospital, his neighbor Radwan visits him. Ramzy's assailant tries to kill him again, but Ramzy barely manages to get away. Awny returns to tell Khalil that Ramzy conned him and didn't give him any money.
Dakroury takes Ramzy to confront Awny. Awny asks Ramzy to make a recording admitting that he is his partner so that he could get his money back, but Ramzy refuses the request.
Kamal takes Ramzy to visit Attia after he gets released from prison. Ramzy tells Attia that he has money that belongs to Attia and gives it back to him in front of the lawyer, who makes Attia sign a receipt proving that he got the money.
When Nousa asks her uncle Ramzy for 20 thousand pounds to go abroad, he agrees to provide the money. Ramzy talks to Attia about his father, whom Ramzy saw as his own brother.
Ramzy vanishes without a trace, but when he returns, he refuses to speak to Kamal. He only agrees to get out of his room when his friend Sofi comes to visit. Ramzy reveals to Sofi that his spirits are down because Attia has found out that Ramzy is responsible for his father's death.
As Ramzy confronts Khalil in front of Awny, Awny reveals that he conned them both and deceived them. As Ramzy and Khalil grow wroth, Awny tells Kamal that Ramzy conned Awny's own father when he was young and took all his money.
Ramzy meets Mesilhy, the man who attacked him and inquires about the reason he has been trying to kill him. Mesilhy shares that he was sent by Attia to ask about the money that Kamal told him about, and that he was only trying to catch Ramzy, not kill him.
Ramzy tells Nawal that he has been hiding the fact that he has an 18-year-old son, but he is a patient at a mental hospital, revealing that his son's illness is the reason he has gotten so heartless.
Ramzy gives his niece, Sou'ad, 20 thousand pounds, telling her that he gave her sister Nousa the same amount. Ramzy asks Sou'ad to name her unborn child Mahmoud.
Ramzy tells Khalil that he has deposited 400 thousand pounds in Khalil's account. When Khalil inquires about the reason, Ramzy expresses his regret for his actions and asks Khalil for forgiveness.
As Khalil asks his nephew Gad to cancel the hit on Ramzy, Gad is unable to find the assassin that he hired to kill Ramzy. Gad rushes to Ramzy's side to protect him from the assassin, taking the hit in Ramzy's stead.
When Ramzy tells his lawyer Sofi that he will sell his store to Attia, Sofi loses it and tells him that Attia is a thug and a drug dealer. Ramzy reveals that he consulted a Shiekh who confirmed that he must give Attia's money back to him.
Khalil visits Ramzy to thank him for testifying for Gad in front of the police. Ramzy gives Attia's money back to him, but advises him not to use the money for any illegal business.
As Ramzy weds his neighbour Nawal, he tells Sou'ad that his inheritance will be distributed between her, her sister Nousa, and Kamal. Awny buys Ramzy's store from Attia. As Ramzy's son, Mahmoud, passes away, Ramzy soon follows him.
