Ubadah attacks his father-in-law, treacherously stabs him in his sleep, takes the bag of gold, and flees with his son Jubayr to the tribe of Banu Sufa. Safwan saves Ziyad ibn Kaab, the emir of Banu Sufa from death. Layla, Ziyad's daughter, admires Safwan and tells her friend, Hubba.

2nd Episode

Ubadah changes his name to Bakr and his son Jubayr's name to Malik so that no one in Banu Sufa would know him. Bakr tells his friend that he wants to wed his son Malik to Layla, Ziyad ibn Kaab's daughter. Qusayy's mother asks her son Rajah not to tell Qusayy of his lineage to the people of Mecca.

Ziyad ibn Kaab learns from his guards that Rabia, the man who came to Mecca and stayed with Hulail, has been killed and orders his guards to search for the killer and bring him alive. Safwan tells his friend that he is in love with Layla.
