A group of the alley’s youngsters are taken forcibly to serve in the Ottoman army. As his father dies, Ghazi seizes control over the household.

Naila goes to Abu El Ezz, asks him to bring witnesses, and gives him the deposit entrusted to her by Abu Ghazi, according to the latter’s will.

Mounira refuses to be divorced from Adel despite his absence. Ezzu decides to travel to his father, who he learns is married to Souhaila. Adel deserts the army. Ghazi tells Abu El Ezz that he was upset by his father’s placement of the deposit in his home.

Ghazi arranges with Tabanja and Abu El Reeh to bring him the box from Abu El Ezz's house. Mounira refuses to marry Adel's brother, Ammar, who turns out to be having a secret love affair with Fatima, and when Tabanja finds out about it, he decides to blackmail her.

Tabanja decides to marry Fatima. Adel is arrested again. Ghazi, as it turns out, is responsible for his uncle’s death. Ammar refuses to marry Mounira.

Ghazi rapes Ghandoura. Abu Ratib decides to marry for the third time. Ammar agrees to marry Mounira. Umm El Ezz finds out about Fatima’s secret rendezvous with Ammar and beats her.

Tabanja threatens to expose Ammar and asks him to bring the box from Abu El Ezz's house. Najwa is accidentally stabbed by Selim as he quarrels with Ezzu, upon which Ghazi tortures the two, only to be stopped by Souhaila.

As Saeed learns about Tabanja's threats to Ammar, he decides to intervene. Daoud demands 100 gold coins from Adel to release him.

Fatima's shocked to learn of Ammar’s decision to marry Mounira. Ammar tells Umm El Ezz that Tabanja threatened him after seeing him with Fatima.

As Abu El Reeh and Tabanja try to kill Abu El Ahlam, Saeed manages to save him in the nick of time. Umm El Ezz thinks of a way to get Fatima out of her predicament.

When Umm El Ezz asks her husband to return the box, he refuses. Ghazi decides to kill Abu El Ezz to bury the secret of the box with him, whereas Turki asks Mutab to kill him, but the latter comes clean to Abu El Ezz.

When Ghandoura beats up Ghazi, she turns to Naila for protection. Ammar is sent to jail after attempting to kill Tabanja who asks Abu El Ezz for his daughter Fatima’s hand in marriage.

Saeed rescues Ammar, who then tells him and Abu El Ahlam about his problem. Ezzu returns to the Levant. Tabanja puts Abu Shawwal under surveillance.

Tabanja decides to find out the secret behind the house guarded by Abu Shawwal, whereas he also spies on Abu El Ezz's house to find out where the box is. Souad decides to stop at nothing to marry Abu Ratib.

It's revealed that in the past, Ghazi reported to the Ottoman army the whereabouts of Abu Laila, upon which the latter was executed, while Ghazi was thrown out of the village by his father. Ezzu’s father hides the box. Ghandoura is forced to work in the palace.

As Umm El Ezz meets with Tabanja to solve Fatima's problem amicably, he tries to rape her, so she stabs him with a dagger, then Abu El Ahlam stabs him a second time.

Umm El Ezz loses her mind and leaves her house without a veil, upon which Ammar breaks down for being responsible for what’s happened to her. Ghazi asks Abu El Ezz for the hand of his daughter, Maryam, in marriage.

Fares shoots at his mother by mistake. Jamila’s husband warns her, as she finds out about Ammar’s relationship with Fatima. When Mutab learns of Ghandoura's pregnancy, he questions the baby's parentage, whereupon he decides to kill Ghazi.

Abu El Ahlam learns that Tabanja is still alive. Mutab fails to kill Ghazi, who brutally tortures him. Souhaila is taken to the hospital. A trap is set for Walid after he managed to smuggle Daoud.

When Radwan finds out that Abu El Reeh is eavesdropping on their house, the latter locks him up. Mutab tells Ghandoura to flee to the Levant.

Tabanja recovers and returns home, upon which Abu El Reeh asks for his help after he kidnapped Radwan. Umm El Ezz tells her husband that she knows that he’s been married to another woman for a long time. Umm Yunus tells Mutab about Ghandoura’s traveling to the Levant and aborting her baby.

Ghazi learns that Abu El Ezz is providing protection to Ghandoura. Abu El Reeh finds Radwan unconscious. Abu El Ezz and Abu Shawwal find out that somebody is spying on the latter’s house through the abandoned house next to his.

Abu El Ezz finds his son Radwan at last, only to turn out to be dead, whereupon Umm El Ezz abandons her home upon finding the situation after her son’s death unbearable.

Upon Abu El Ahlam’s release, he warns Tabanja to keep away from Umm El Ezz. Abu El Ezz refuses to let Ghandoura return to the village with Ghazi, meanwhile he tries to look for his son’s killer. Nafisa tries to wreck Souad and Abu Ratib's marriage.

Selim smuggles Mutab with Abu Shawwal’s help. Umm El Ezz loses her mind as she couldn't bear the shock of her son’s death, after which Abu El Ezz locks her in the basement for going out of the house without telling anyone.

Anwar looks after his sister, Umm El Ezz, and takes her to his home without Abu El Ezz's knowledge. Abu Ratib marries Souad. Jabr kidnaps Salma, Ghandoura’s daughter, at Ghazi’s command.

Ghazi forces Mutab and Ghandoura to return to give them their daughter Salma. Mounira and Ammar’s wedding takes place. As Adel returns to the Levant after he was injured, he’s shocked to learn of his mother's death and of Mounira and Ammar's marriage.

Jabr asks Selim to help him retrieve the box for Ghazi. Umm El Ezz starts to recover and returns to her home and children. Adel tells his family that he has to have his leg amputated.

Umm El Ezz gets close with Souhaila. Fares finds out where the box is. Samir’s father decides to marry off Adel to Fatima. Tabanja demands money from Samir in order not to expose the affair of Fatima and Ammar, whereupon they fight.

Mutab joins bandits, which fills him with remorse. Maryam agrees to marry Ghazi. Fares tells his brother Selim about the location of the box.

Samir’s father decides to marry off Fatima to Adel after learning the truth. Selim steals the box, and upon his return, Turki’s men kidnap him and steal it from him.

Upon Selim’s disappearance, Abu Shawwal looks for him. Jamila asks Umm El Ezz for Fatima’s hand in marriage for Adel. Turki kills Mutab so he wouldn't expose him.

Ghandoura receives her husband's corpse. Ghazi is surprised to learn that Abu El Ezz has switched the box. Adel and Fatima get married. Tabanja kills Abu El Ahlam.

Abu El Ahlam survives. Abu El Ezz leaves his wife after confirming that she’s lied to him. Fatima’s wedding takes place. Ghandoura decides to avenge her husband and kill Ghazi. Tabanja and Turki prepare to kill Abu El Ezz, at Ghazi's request.

As Abu El Ezz learns of Ghazi’s intent to kill him, he decides to open the box and execute the will. Daoud asks Adel to give him ownership of his father’s shop. Hatim, Selim’s father, returns.
