Rashed, Seif, and Salem return to their home village after obtaining their engineering degree. Salem welcomes his father, who has just been dismissed from work. Mas'oud wants to wed Saberya. It is revealed that Salem didn't obtain a degree in agricultural engineering.

Rashed starts working with his father at sea. Seif lands a job at Khalfan's company. Salem beats Mas'oud to proposing to Sabreya. He asks his uncle Khalfan to hire him at his company, despite Salem's father's rejection of the idea.

Fatema's father transfers all his property to her. Seif meets Hend, whom Salem wants to wed to secure a path to wealth. Abu Salem (Salem's father) wants Khalfan to fire Salem from the company. Salem learns the reason behind his father's disagreement with Khalfan. Fatema pursues an education.

Qassem advises Seif to propose to Hend. Salem proposes to Hend, but she rejects him, prompting Salem to vow revenge on Seif and his uncle. Salem swaps Seif's bag that has the architectural designs with another bag.

When Khalfan loses the tender to Abdel Aziz, Salem accuses Seif of being behind their loss and fires him. Abdel Aziz offers Seif a job at his company. Mas'oud marries Sabreya. Hend tries to reconcile her father and her uncle.

Ibrahim forgives his brother Khalfan and proposes buying agricultural land in their village. Fatema wants to work as a nurse. Salem proposes to Fatema, but her father rejects him. Khalfan has a heart attack when Salem embroils him in an embezzlement case and steals his money.

Ibrahim reprimands his son Salem and threatens to disown him if he doesn't return Khalfan's money. Seif tells Hend he will go back to work with Khalfan to help him with his case. Fatema accepts to wed Salem, and her father begs her to stay away from Salem and his malice.

Rashed tells his father that Hamd wants to marry Rashed's sister, Zahra. Seif proposes to Hend. Fatema's father agrees to wed her to Salem. As Salem returns his uncle Khalfan's money, Abdel Aziz hires him at his company.

Seif and Hend get married. Abu Zahra accepts to wed his daughter Zahra to Hamd. Salem and Fatema get married and go on their honeymoon. Khalfan passes away. Hend loses her baby. Salem tells Fatema that her father is having an affair.

Hend blames Salem for her father's death. Mas'oud quarrels with Sabreya for neglecting him and focusing primarily on her studies. Salem tells his wife that he decided to quit his job with her father. The father of Salem's wife passes away. Both Hend and Fatema give birth, and their children grow up.

Rashed's son graduates from college. Fatema accuses Salem of being the reason her father died. Seif tries to persuade Hend to let go of the past and forgive Salem. Seif's daughter learns that he has another wife.

Laila confides in her grandmother as she tells her that her father Seif has another wife. Huda tries to get Sa'ied to forgive his parents. In order to save his company, Salem must work with Seif. Rashed complains to Hamd that his wife has grown negligent.

Salem's son insists on joining the Faculty of Agriculture, despite his father's wishes to have him work in commerce. Khaled and Nader graduate. Khaled wants to propose to Laila, but Nader beats him to it.

Hend doesn't want her son to marry Laila. Fatema decides to wed Laila to Khaled.

Salem threatens to inflict pain on Khaled to get him to divorce Laila. Salem wants his son Sa'ied to wed Mas'oud's daughter. Zahra tells Hamd she's pregnant. Salem is arrested on charges of embezzlement. Salem goes mad.
