Khaled asks his friend Essam for his sister Mona's hand in marriage, and marries her without his family's knowledge. Meanwhile, Sharif blames his wife Safiya that their son Khaled always stays up late.
As Khaled tries to reassure his wife, Mona, that he will never leave her, his father threatens that he will disinherit him. His father also visits Mona and threatens her to leave him or he will cut ties with Khaled if he marries her.
As Mona tells Khaled about his father's visit, she asks him to sacrifice their love. Meanwhile, Khaled's mother asks her brother Ibrahim to advise Khaled to return. Abeer proposes that Khaled divorces Mona when their father learns that he is already married.
As Mona tells Khaled about her work in teaching, Khaled is afraid that his father will fight them after he succeeded in preventing him from working anywhere. Ibrahim advises Khaled to divorce Mona until things are fixed between him and his father and then marry her again.
While Mona tells Abeer about her pregnancy when she asked her to leave her brother Khaled, Abeer discovers that her fiancé broke off their engagement because of her brother's relationship with Mona and the social difference between them.
When Mona gets sick and is hospitalized, Khaled is forced to borrow as she needs a large amount of money to be treated. Meanwhile, his father gets sick and asks to see Khaled to forgive him for severing his relationship with him.
As Khaled's father recovers his health, and his mother visits Mona in the hospital and welcomes her stay with them, fate intervenes and Mona dies of her illness causing Khaled to suffer a psychological shock.
