The evil musician Svengali can control women's actions through hypnosis. He meets a beautiful model, Trilby, and becomes infatuated with her, but she is in love with young Billy. One day Svengali hypnotizes Trilby and uses his powers to make her sing wonderfully and become Mrs. Svengali.
