Intessar makes up her mind to return to El Alali village, whereas Shahm and Azem marry their Uncle Badee’s daughters. As Mowaffaq discovers that his land has been set on fire and his livestock has been stolen, he believes that it’s a plot that's been hatched against him.
As Shahm goes missing, people think he’s been kidnapped by Haddoun. Fadel asks for the hand of Badee's daughter, Laila, for his son Dawas, but Badee insists on her older sister Fayza getting married first. Azem becomes infatuated with his uncle's daughter Nahla when he visits him.
Intessar and Shahm leave the village on their way to El Alali. Farida asks Wadee for a divorce. Jabr and Awad burn Mowaffaq’s granaries to make him think that Haddoun did it.
Intessar arrives at her brother Badee’s house. Laila tries to spoil her engagement to Shahm when she finds out that Nahla is attracted to him, meanwhile Intessar asks for Laila’s hand in marriage for Azem, and Nahla’s for Shahm.
As Shukri gets killed, Narges, Mowaffaq’s daughter, loses her speech after she sees the killer, whereas, Awad, for fear of getting caught, leaves his dagger on the bed, which shocks Mowaffaq when he finds it and realizes that it is his friend’s.
Awad claims that he lost his dagger a few days ago to keep himself in the clear. Intessar and Badee set a date for the weddings of Azem and Shahm, which upsets Laila.
Mowaffaq tells his wife that Haddoun is a made up character created by his brother Mourad before his death. Intessar travels to ‘Karm’ alone. Laila’s father punishes her by tying her up when she puts a sedative in Azem’s and Shahm’s water.
Awad finds out that Mourad is the one who planted the idea of the outlaw Haddoun in people's minds, and threatens to kill Narges, if she tells Mowaffaq about it.
Intessar tells Mowaffaq that Marzouq is in the village. Jabr reproaches Awad for threatening Narges. Badee marries his daughters, Laila and Nahla, to Shahm and Azem.
Badee tells his wife that Shahm asked for Laila’s hand for him and Nahla’s for his brother in marriage, while the former asks for Ammouna’s hand in marriage for Dawas. In El Karm village, Hadeyya is shocked by her brother Awad’s burning the land then accusing Jabr of doing it.
As Fayza’s love for Hassan kills Dawas, his mother labels her as a bad omen on the village. In El Karm, Hadeyya tells Intessar to stay away from Mowaffaq when he hints that he wants to marry her, while Mowaffaq finds out that Jabr is the one behind what’s been happening in the village.
Dawas's mother decides to take revenge on Fayza, proclaiming her a curse that befell the village. Intessar tells Mowaffaq about meeting Marzouq. Hind asks Awad to marry her. Shahm tells Azem about Fayza’s relationship with Hassan. Hadeyya reveals to Mowaffaq that Shukri’s murderer is Jabr.
Farida proposes to Badee getting Fayza out of the village. Irfan passes away. Hassan's father decides to leave the village with his son. Intessar recalls helping Marzouq when Mourad sent him to jail.
Hind's brother agrees to wed her to Awad. Badee postpones the marriage arrangements of Shahm and Azem to his two daughters until their older sister, Fayza, gets married. Intessar returns to El Alali and meets Hassan’s father, who informs Badee of his quarrel with Irfan.
Intessar tells Shahm and Azem that Awad and Haddoun are the same person, whereas she becomes furious upon learning of Shahm’s engagement to Nahla, and Azem’s to Laila.
Intessar reproaches Dawas’s mother for mistreating Fayza. Azem can’t find his brother, Shahm, whereupon he returns to El Karm and informs his father, who starts with the townspeople to look for him.
Nahla is traumatized upon believing that Shahm is dead. The people of El Alali demand that Fayza leave the village because she’s cursed. Awad turns against Mowaffaq and asks him to give up his position as head of the village. Hadeyya burns down Intessar’s room.
Azem finds out that Jabr is alive, while the latter appears to the townsfolk, pretending to be a ghost. Intessar, Fayza and Nahla leave the village. Shahm meets Laila, with Intessar’s help, to let her know that he’s still alive.
Shahm quarrels with the townspeople. Mowaffaq finds out that Awad has seized control of the village and that he has become the village chief. Abu Dawas proposes to Ammouna.
Awad tells Hadeyya about Mowaffaq’s insistence on revealing the truth. In El Alali, Badee quarrels with Shahm, whom he tells to divorce his daughter. Azem tells his father that Shahm is still alive, upon which everyone rejoices.
Awad asks Hind's brother to kill Mowaffaq, but he refuses. A fire breaks out in El Alali, which Saad tells Badee is planned. Laila decides to stand by her father. In El Karm, Azem tells Jabr everything and they agree to join forces to reveal the truth.
As Azem tries to find out the truth behind the crimes committed in El Karm, he asks Jabr to go on pretending to be a ghost. Awad falsely claims that Mowaffaq stole the lands of the people of El Karm. Hadeyya makes Azem choose between his marriage to Nahla and her.
Awad informs Mowaffaq that he has forged the ownership documents of the lands of the townspeople. As Azem quarrels with Nahla, he asks his mother to find him a new bride. Laila hands out the supplies to the townspeople. Sherifa passes away.
Hassan's illness gets worse. Intessar bargains with Hind not to marry Awad in exchange for a plot of land; meanwhile Hadeyya is shocked by Awad's proposal to Fayza.
Badee holds a big funeral ceremony for Sherifa. Intessar asks Mowaffaq to take Narges with her to El Alali. Azem discovers the truth through Hadeyya’s meeting with Awad, whereas Awad tries to incite the townspeople against Mowaffaq, and tells them that Haddoun’s story is a lie that he invented.
Laila arrives at El Karm. Mowaffaq ties Baddy up as he finds out that he’s been collaborating with Awad against him. As a quarrel breaks out between Hind and Marzouq, Hind kills her brother Nazem by mistake.
Hind becomes hysterical after killing Nazem. When Irfan tries to kill Farida, she kills him and burns down his shop. Jabr admits to Intessar and Mowaffaq what he did previously.
Laila looks for her father, as he disappears, and tells Mowaffaq, whom Awad incites the townspeople against. As Awad admits to killing Shukri and Fathi and burning the town, he bargains with Mowaffaq in exchange for Shahm, Azem and Badee, but Baddy tells Mowaffaq where they are.
Intessar sets out to find Badee. Awad tells Mowaffaq to yield all his money and ownership documents to him and to leave the village, in exchange for revealing where Badee, Azem and Shahm are.
Awad tries to escape, threatening to kill his sister Hadeyya. Marzouq and his gang get caught. Badee returns to El Alali. Hassan marries Fayza. Shahm and Azem get married. Awad is found dead with a note next to him signed by Haddoun that says that he got what he deserved.
