As Assad leads the secret, political group El Adlein to save those who are about to be assassinated, he is forced to hide them in the newspaper's headquarters when they are about to get arrested.
Assad tells his people that they need to leave Baghdad before they get assassinated. When their headquarter is attacked, a shoot-out ensues before Sadid and Assad manage to end the battle and save their people. However, they become determined to find the culprit behind the attack.
Assad deceives Dawoud by taking a video of his party members tied up and executed, which shocks Hajy. The party members complain that Sadid is neglecting his work.
Assad shoots a video to recount his life story, revealing that he is going to die soon. Marwa encourages the people in Baghdad to protest in support of Assad. As Hajy receives notice that his house is about to be attacked, he and his family prepare to flee.
When Zain sees Assad's team at the warehouse, he informs Sadid who threatens him with a gun to prevent him from sharing the information with Hajy. When Abdel Rahman learns about the page that Marwa created for El Adlein, he asks Assad to summon the photographers but refuses to tell him why.
As Hajy asks Assad to publish a photo of him praying, he also asks him to reveal that he is still in Baghdad. In the wake of the October 25th demonstrations, Ramzy's funeral is held as a video goes out, asking people to stop protesting. Dawoud sends his men and Marwa to the Liberation Square.
Assad remembers Abdel Rahman's threat to kill his uncle. As Sadid asks the kidnapped to lie in coffins during the symbolic funeral to smuggle them out, Dawoud manages to catch them. In an attempt to get Dawoud to release his people, Assad threatens Abdel Rahman with a gun.
Dawoud kills Kamal. At the party's headquarters, as Assad holds Abdel Rahman, Amgad, Taha, Jamal, and their men hostage, he broadcasts a live feed to confess to the corruption of Abdel Rahman and his associates.
As Assad asks Sadid to take the kidnapped and flee abroad, the latter refuses and asks Assad to do it instead. As they indeed escape, Sadid grows weak, giving Abdel Rahman the chance to break free. Abdel Rahman gets reinstated. Sadid gets killed.
