Hazel Green runs away from her husband, Byron Gogol, with whom she has been living for 10 years, but she soon discovers that he had her fitted with a high-tech tracking device called "Made for Love," upon which she seeks help from her estranged father, Herbert.
As they try to borrow a plane for Hazel's escape, Hazel and Herb's plan fails, while Byron's device proves to be effective, and he manages to reach her father's house, upon which Hazel is forced to ask Byron for a divorce.
In a flashback, Hazel and Byron are interviewed in Weekend America, and Byron reveals that he and Hazel have never left the Hub since their first day of marriage and that he only sleeps two hours each night.
Hazel's efforts to get some money lead her to come across her old best friend, Bangles. Byron enlists Bennett's help to get Hazel back in his Hub.
Byron thwarts all Hazel's attempts to hire a lawyer to get a divorce, and he makes an extremely risky move that threatens to derail the entire strategy involving the detecting device and Hazel.
Byron goes offline on a voyage into the real world; meanwhile, Hazel and Herbert come clean about their old disagreements in order to overcome them and form a more powerful bond in the present day.
Hazel plans a romantic night for her father and his love doll, Diane. Herb discloses his darkest secret to Judiff. During a press conference, Byron learns remarkable information about Hazel.
Herbert and Judiff try to forestall a possible tragedy as Hazel and Byron sit down for a frank chat about their future and divorce.
