Jasser calls on Ayed for help because his daughter Saada is hysterical, and he is worried about her discovering the secret of the well. Aisha quarrels with Rabah for trying to tell her daughter, the teacher Zuhur, what happened to her father. Ayed celebrates the return of his brother Safi.

As he proposes to Safi to marry Saada, Ayed takes pity on an incompetent young man named Bashir, and allows him to sleep in the yard of the house.

Safi likes Zuhur and thinks about marrying her, but Rabah treats him badly. Bashir overhears Jasser's conversation with Ayed and their fear of the exposure of the secret of the well.

Saada is saddened by Safi's love for Zuhur. Rabah accuses Ayed of killing his brother, Zuhur's father. Jasser sneaks into Rabah's house and tries to kill him, but Bashir saves him. It turns out that Bashir is disguising himself as an incompetent young man.

Aisha agrees to Safi's marriage to Zuhur, but the latter refuses, and Safi discovers Enshrah's pressure on Zuhur to keep her away from him.

Bashir sends a letter to Rabah to agree to Safi’s marriage to Zuhur, telling him that Safi has nothing to do with what his brother Ayed is doing, but the latter threatens to take Zuhur's mother’s land if she agrees to the marriage.

Safi leaves the town when he learns that his brother caused Zuhur's mother to reject his marriage to her daughter. Rabah tries to find out the identity of the young man who saved him from death.

Ayed advises Jasser to let Saada see a psychiatrist. Ayed is surprised when Safi files a lawsuit demanding the division of their father's estate.

The lawyer tells Safi that Ayed has used the general power of attorney to sign over all the properties to himself. Jasser returns with Saada and prevents her from receiving treatment for fear that the doctor will know what happened in her past. The writer Hassan turns out to be disguised as Bashir.

Bashir contacts Safi to find out the reason for his problems with Ayed. The latter seeks to solve his problem with Safi amicably, while Jasser locks Saada in the house.

Rabah stipulates that in order for Zuhur to marry Safi that the latter reveal the secret of the well and Ayed's killing of Zuhur's father. Bashir returns to the town and tells Zuhur that he is her brother. Saada runs away from home and reveals the truth in front of everyone.
