After escaping from the psychiatric hospital, Jaber is returned to his ward, and his wife Hoda visits him. In a flashback, she tells the treating doctor how she met Jaber through her work in journalism and her discovering his illegal trade.

Hoda tells the story of Jaber kidnapping their young son and the discovery that he suffers from schizophrenia. The psychological therapist meets Marwan, Jaber’s friend, and he tells her how he met him in the juvenile center and their work in selling old clothes.

Marwan continues his stories with Jaber, their work in a car workshop, Jaber’s robbery of the workshop, then his disappearance for a while and his return with a lot of money, and their opening of a company together.

Jaber asks Marwan to collect information about the journalist Hoda because she's written an article about street vendors that is harming their work. Marwan talks about Jaber forcing Hoda's father to agree to his marriage to her.

The therapist contacts Jaber’s sister Hosna and his mother to learn more about his past and the reason for the condition he has fallen into, which is due to his father’s imprisonment and the deterioration of their situation.

Jaber's mom continues her story to the therapist and tells her of her financial hardship, her having to work for Abu Luay (Luay's dad) to support Jaber and his sister, and of Ayyad, the landlord, blackmailing her to marry him in exchange for forgiving the late rent on the house.

Jaber objects to his mother working as a maid in Abu Luay's house. Hosna tries to convince her mother to forgive Jaber and visit him in the hospital. Ayyad tries to force Hosna to marry Abu Luay despite the age difference between them.

Hosna tells the therapist how her life turned into hell after her marriage to Abu Luay, and about the problems that arose between her and his son Luay.

Abu Hoda tries to convince his daughter not to visit Jaber in the hospital and to end her relationship with him. Hosna visits him in the hospital, and with the doctor’s approval, Jaber is released from the hospital, but the latter kidnaps his son again and Hoda goes crazy.
