Naela treats her children very cruelly and tries to force her daughter Rawan to marry some guy. Also, she gives her daughter Haneen medicine, and Rawan discovers that her sister has bipolar disorder.
Rawan gets upset when she meets her ex-husband Ahmed at a party, and she recalls their marriage without the knowledge of her mother Naela, and how she insisted on their divorce. During a heated quarrel between Rawan and Naela over the latter's refusal to let Rawan sing, Naela dies of a heart attack.
As the lawyer gives Naela's will to her children, Haneen learns that she's been disinherited and finds a letter from Naela telling her to go to an old farm and open the door with the keys she gave her when she was young. Haneen goes there and is surprised to find a woman who looks like Naela.
Haneen discovers that Naela had been locking in her twin sister, Bouthayna, for 25 years and is asking her to take care of her after her death, whereupon Haneen meets the farm watchman Adel and tries to find out the truth about her aunt Bouthayna.
Rawan tries to advise Haneen to turn to Dr. Ahmed to treat her after the hallucinations she has been having, while Haneen convinces Bouthayna to move into the villa with her.
Saoud asks the lawyer Ibrahim to take over the affairs of his late mother's office and business, while Bouthayna gets closer to her sister's children through her stories about Naela, telling them about her illness that is similar to Haneen's.
Bouthayna tries to persuade Saoud to officially betroth Jumana, and Rawan reveals that she was pregnant in the past and that Naela caused her to miscarry and forged her divorce paper, while the lawyer Ibrahim gets close to Haneen.
In another letter, Naela reveals that Bouthayna had killed her husband and that she saved her from being hanged. The second letter reveals that Haneen is the daughter of Bouthayna, who decides to return to the farm and live in seclusion.
