Moataz is a forensic artist, whose mother, Ahlam, rejects his marriage to Samira, while he is worried about his mother's reluctance to announce her marriage to his father to end the rumors about his father's absence.

Ahlam is surprised to find her divorce papers among her husband’s belongings that he left before his travels. Moataz meets Malak in his studio, who gets engaged to Khaled, a businessman. An unknown person watches Moataz’s house, knowing that he drew him with the help of a witness to a murder.

Malak and her uncle, Amer go to Moataz's studio. Samira's father refuses Moataz's betrothal to Samira, and Soliman's money is confiscated at the airport. An unknown person leaves money at Moataz's house with Ahlam. Moataz is surprised by his father's visit.

Farida, Khaled's assistant, becomes angry after his engagement to Malak, and Ahlam kicks Soliman out upon his return. Moataz helps his father with renting an apartment with the money left by the unknown. Malak begins to work with Khaled, as she tries to make her engagement work to please her mother, Anan.

As Moataz begins working with Assem and Amer to sell his paintings, the two of them express their admiration for his mother, Ahlam. Skirmishes begin between Malak and Farida.
