As President Sadat visits the people of the island, the body of an unknown girl appears in the sea, so Muharib tries to control the people. One of the residents is severely punished for trying to reach the police to report the body, as it becomes clear that the villagers do not leave the island.

As Khaldoun tells El Ajami that Madyan appeared to Al-Ayqa in a dream, they ask him to build a shrine and do a carnival for the people of the village; El Ajami rejects their request and asks them to leave the island. Khaldoun recruits the children to gather information about the island's inhabitants.

El Ajami agrees that Muharib will take over the island's sheikhdom after the death of Sheikh Madyan. Batlan tells El Ajami that whoever killed the island girl is a stranger who assaulted her, then killed her and threw her into the sea.

El Ajami asks Arafat to escape from the island or take the fall for Sundus' death and tells everyone that he killed her after a love story between them. El Ajami decides to imprison Arafat in his house. Dorra tells her father that Qadri, Batlan's son, was in love with Sundus.

El Ajami interrogates Qadri, who tells him that his father loved Sundus, and that he did not kill her, so he decides to imprison him with Arafat. As El Ajami gets angry at Muharib after Dorra is harassed by his followers, he asks Arafat to stay away from Dorra.

El Ajami asks for Bannoura’s hand in marriage. Hamdi admits that Najah and Qadri kidnapped and killed Sundus. Batlan threatens El Ajami not to come near his son Qadri. Sundus’ ghost appears and kills both Najah and Qadri.

Arafat gives the money of the mosque fund to the poor and another part to the school. El Ajami agrees to Yusri's request to conduct a debate between Arafat and Muharib to determine which of them is best suited to take over the sheikhdom of the island. Arafat teaches Al-Ayqa to write her name.

As Arafat tells Al-Ayqa where her parents' grave is, he marries Dorra. The people of the island kill Khaldoun. As a storm sweeps the island, the people take shelter in the ship's cave. The years pass, and Arafat grows old and tells his children his last will.
