A fearless young police officer and galactic pilot on the periphery of space finds that her life is irrevocably altered upon being charged with treason.

Ash makes her way through an unfamiliar desert in a last-ditch effort to find a place to call home, while the Hemlock fugitives get to salvage their ship that has crashed. While traveling, she uninvitedly meets the space pirate Echo Nantu-Rose.

As the Hemlock runs out of fuel, the group faces another obstacle as they drift through space without any coordinates.

The group decides to forgo the Hemlock in favor of something a little less noticeable. Upon meeting the eccentric Professor Blake, the group finds something more than they had anticipated.

The Hemlock visits Candy's home planet of Skov in an attempt to get Ash some medical attention, but things do not go well.

After Emma is captured, Ash is left on her own. On board the ship, the band discovers something startling.

Opinions diverge when Ash offers to take Emma on a perilous rescue mission. However, the odds could be better in a poker game.

Problems arise as the crew sets out on the last part of their journey to Arcadia and collides with an asteroid.
