Canary is a journalist and a restaurateur. She lives with her mother, who wants to marry her off. Mr. Nabil visits Canary at home and has breakfast with her and her mother.

Seraa goes to Canary to apologize to her for hitting her unintentionally. Meanwhile, Mr. Jamil the painter tells the owner of the café that Seraa and his two brothers are buying several properties.

Seraa buys Mahfouz's shop and has the contract written, while there is a rumor in the neighborhood that Finjan, the café's owner, will also sell the café.

Canary plants files in Seraa's bag while he's eating lunch at the restaurant, after which the police go to arrest him and confiscate the files that convict him of forgery and fraud.

As Seraa wants to take revenge on Canary for what she did to him, he files a report that the restaurant serves poisoned food, so it gets closed down, which saddens Canary, after which the mayor and the director of the health authority come to solve the matter.

Seraa makes all the necessary preparations for the opening of his restaurant, and also Jathum, the cousin of Canary, goes to work with him.

When Abu Zain tells everyone that Canary has been kidnapped, Seraa rushes to rescue her and manages to reach the kidnapper, who turns out to be Abu Souda.

Canary returns home, reopens her restaurant, and feels grateful to Seraa for saving her, but she soon changes her mind when he talks about the sale of the restaurant.

Jamil gets angry and destroys the painting he made of his wife, who died in an explosion. Seraa meets Canary on the way, presents her with a flower, and asks her to meet outside the neighborhood.

As Seraa goes out with Canary and confesses his admiration for her, Finjan and the rest of Canary's friends interrupt them, admonishing Seraa, but he tells them that they got engaged.

Someone threatens Canary, so the people of the neighborhood try to catch him, which they do, and he tells them that he is just a tenant of one of the important figures whom Canary attacks in her writings, and Jamil recognizes him as he is his wife's killer.

Jamil accuses Moheeb El Zanjeel, Seraa's father, of being behind the murder of his wife, and when Seraa finds out, he asks his father to tell him the truth.

Seraa is angry at what his father said in front of the people of the area and his telling them that he does not approve of Canary, who admits to Shahd that she loves Seraa.

Adnan, a real estate investor, goes to the Aswar area to implement his project, which is to build the largest shopping center in the area after demolishing the old buildings. When Seraa finds out, he gets angry, gathers the engineers, locks them up in his restaurant, and convinces them not to do it.

Moheeb calls his son, Seraa, to go to him immediately, but when he doesn't show up, it turns out that he has been kidnapped, whereupon Canary suspects Adnan and tells Seraa's two brothers, to whom she shows the photo she got on the Internet so that they would intervene and find him.

Abu Zain tells Canary that he knows the warehouse where Seraa is, telling his two brothers its location. Seraa flees as soon as he hears the gunshots, and while Canary rushes in her car to get there, she hits him unintentionally, so she takes him to the hospital.

Seraa's condition improves, and he doesn't know that it was Canary who ran over him, while the kidnappers escape from his two brothers, upon which Adnan gets angry and sends someone to shoot Seraa.

Seraa is immediately taken to the hospital and undergoes surgery, whereupon his condition improves. Moheeb goes with his children to Canary's house to formally have her betrothed to Seraa, and she agrees in the presence of all the people of Aswar.

The economic and social situations in Iraq deteriorate due to the deterioration of the world economy as a result of the Coronavirus, upon which Canary agrees with Seraa on stealing money from the rich to help the poor, so they begin to defraud a bank affiliated with Adnan.

Seraa manages to carry out the plan, hit the bank manager, seize the money, and escape, upon which he finds Canary waiting for him in the car after the police came as the manager had called them.

Seraa puts a listening device in Adnan's house to find out the location of the money he keeps, then he goes there while Adnan is having a big party and disguises himself as a waiter so that he can move easily, and Canary goes with him to keep a lookout.

Seraa finds a large safe full of gold and money, which he takes all, and absconds with Canary, after which he distributes the aid over the Internet and asks the mukhtar and Finjan to tell him about anyone in need of his help.

As Jamil is in a bad psychological state due to remembering his wife's death, Canary decides to help him and also asks Seraa to help him by any means.

As Louay has his first poetry collection published, he distributes it to his friends in the area, while Canary's health deteriorates.

Canary goes to the doctor, who tells her that her illness is serious and she has to be strong. Jamil apologizes to Finjan and the rest of his friends for ignoring them because of their association with Seraa, whose father he considers the reason for the killing of his wife.

Shahd and Canary's mother learn from the doctor that Canary has a serious illness. Elsewhere, Canary asks Seraa that they call off the engagement, and Jamil goes to Moheeb's house and shoots him.

After Moheeb dies, Seraa kills Jamil. Shahd tells Seraa of Canary's illness and that it was the reason why she left him, whereupon he rushes to her, only to find her on her deathbed.
