Having lost hope of fame, disillusioned Hollywood actress Mira Harberg arrives in Paris to play the villainous Irma Vipp in a TV series, but an encounter with her ex-lover Laurie reignites her hidden feelings.

Zoé tries to reach out to Mira, while the production team deals with a bizarre request from an actor, and a rift develops between Edmond and René.

While Mira reminisces about her past, René reveals his relationship with his ex-wife, who also played Irma Vep.

Mira receives offers from the production financier and her agent, and is immersed in her role. While René faces a personal crisis of faith.

René faces criticism for a controversial scene and tries to defend it, while Mira struggles with her role and her complicated feelings, including her regret over a recent encounter with her ex, Laurie.

After a recent outburst of René on set, production's new plan threatens to reunite Mira with a character from her past.

Mira uses her Irma Vep persona to confront her ex-lover, Laurie, and learn of her assistant Regina's intention to leave her job in order to make films, as chaos on set comes to a head.

In her final days of filming, Mira struggles to deal with her experience playing Irma Vep coming to an end, and receives an offer for a new, career-defining film, while René struggles to finish the project.
