As aspiring director Youssef seeks to find a producer to finance his new film, he promises his colleague Salwa that she'll star in it in case of filming.
Youssef's father health condition is deteriorating, while Youssef is still looking for a producer for his film, and he resents the ridicule of his friends who make him believe that there is a production company that wants to finance his movie.
Youssef takes his father to the hospital, and asks Mr. Mazen's secretary to convince him to agree to finance his project in return for giving her the starring role in the movie.
The production company requires that Youssef choose a lead actor like Khaled Salah, nicknamed Brando of the East, so Youssef agrees with his friends to devise a plan to convince Khaled of that.
Youssef and Salwa go to meet Mr. Mounir, Khaled's business manager, to help them meet him, and they save him from a violent quarrel. As Youssef gets to know Khaled's housekeeper, he hands her the script to show it to him.
As Youssef is considering submitting his resignation, he is afraid of Mazen's refusal to complete the film, so Salwa convinces Youssef to trick Mazen into thinking that Khaled has agreed to star in the film so that they buy more time.
Salwa confesses her love for Youssef, while Mazen begins to develop a marketing and advertising plan for the film, which forces Youssef to search for Lama, Khaled's daughter, so that he can persuade him to actually agree to star in the film.
Lama gets close to Youssef, who fails in his request that she mediate with her father Khaled to agree to star in the film, while Salwa remains in love with Youssef without knowing the development of his relationship with Lama.
Youssef is fired from work, and he is forced to falsely claim the death of Khaled's housekeeper in order to buy time in front of Mazen and his company. As Youssef decides to marry Lama and live in her house, he is surprised by Brando's visit to her, while Salwa is heartbroken over losing Youssef.
Lama discovers why Youssef wanted to get close to her. As Youssef is forced to return to his home, his father surprises him with Brando's agreement to star in the film, and he begins filming with Salwa.
