Hussein is surprised that his ex-wife emptied his apartment of all its furniture. In retaliation after their failed marriage, he laments his situation to his friend Adly, who blames him and leaves. Then the electricity goes out, and he finds himself alone in darkness and emptiness, with bad memories haunting him. Suddenly, his neighbor Laila knocks on his door, asking for help.
