The elderly Mustafa harasses Sahar, who works for him in the store, and falsely claims to her mother that he found her in a compromising situation with the young man Reda. Sahar flees the house when her mother beats her and insists on having her undergo a virginity examination.
Sahar is forced to return home when she discovers that Reda has deceived her and that he is married with a child. Her mother insists on her marrying Ahmed, who proposed to her and quarreled with Reda, believing that they are in a relationship.
Sahar's mother tells Ahmed that Reda is stalking her daughter. As Ahmed and Sahar get married, the latter stipulates that she take her special needs brother Saleh with her to look after him. Ahmed gets tired of him and hits Sahar. Sahar's sister discovers that she is pregnant by her boyfriend.
Sahar's sister has an abortion, while Saleh dies. Ahmed treats Sahar harshly, beating her and giving her burns, while he has an affair with her sister.
As Sahar gives birth to her son, Ahmed beats her and kicks her out of the house. It turns out that Ahmed treats Sahar the same way his father treats his mother, in terms of beating, insulting, and marrying more than one woman.
Sahar becomes pregnant again, while Ahmed decides to marry another woman, forces Sahar to meet his new bride's family, and continues to beat her violently.
The neighbors try to rescue Sahar from her husband, but she takes her last breath, while her sister and mother feel sorry for not saving her.
