In season 3, after the humans were obliterated by a green bomb in New York three years ago, the rats Phil and Mike roam the city after a drunken night, encountering many horrific things on the way, while Phil the dog struggles to adapt to the new world, and tries to preserve his independence after a life centered on relying on humans.
