Riyad, the owner of a café, throws Moamen out of the place for no apparent reason. The electricity goes out and comes back on, and the customers find Moamen covered in blood in front of the café. Officer Omar investigates the incident.
Riyad tells Omar the story of the young man, Moamen, who went to Cairo to attend an acting audition without his father's knowledge. He was robbed at the station, forcing him to go and sleep in the café. Riyad reveals his cancer diagnosis to his family.
Omar interrogates two beggars outside the café, as he suspects they have something to do with the murder. Shorouk collapses after learning of Moamen's death. Omar's suspicions about Riyad grow after discovering his fingerprints on the knife switch.
The investigations into the case continue, and Riyad tells Tariq that he is not his son and that he found him lost when he was young and decided to raise him. Omar finds Moamen's diary and begins reading it, searching for a new clue in the case. Riyad's imprisonment continues.
Shorouk finds a knife hidden in her father's room. She confronts him, but he assaults her and she loses consciousness. In a flashback, Moamen tells Al Dawli that someone is watching him.
Shorouk regains consciousness, and her father tries to convince her that she imagined the knife. Omar finds Moamen's phone, which was stolen upon his arrival in Cairo. Riyad is released due to insufficient evidence, and Moamen's father receives his son's body for burial.
Omar interrogates some people in the town after Moamen's burial, and asks the victim's father for Shorouk's home address. Omar suspects that Shorouk's father is involved in the crime. Shorouk flees her father's house and goes to Omar at the police station, accusing her father of killing Moamen.
Shorouk testifies in Moamen's case. Khalifa confesses to killing his wife, Nemat, for having an affair with Damrani. Omar refers Khalifa to a psychiatrist and the investigation reveals that Damrani had only helped Nemat escape to Cairo. Riyad admits Hani into rehab to be treated for addiction.
Omar orders the digging of the place where Khalifa buried Nemat. Omar then confirms that Khalifa did not kill her. Damrani confesses to raping and killing her. Hani escapes the rehab center, and Omar wants to interrogate Hani and Tariq because they appear in the camera recordings.
Mounir and Georgette look for their son who has been missing for years. Hani returns to rehab. Lugi sees her mom and Al Malek in an inappropriate situation. Tariq refuses to return Riyad's money until he tells him the identity of his real parents. Riyad is taken to the hospital in a bad condition.
Omar continues investigating the case, and in a flashback, Al Dawli pays Azab money in exchange for a kidney from him for his granddaughter. However, Moamen convinces Azab not to undergo the operation, so Al Dawli quarrels with Moamen for causing his granddaughter to lose her last chance.
In a flashback, Mohamed helps Moamen get a supporting role in a movie to earn money. In the present, Riyad promises Tariq that he will tell him his parents' identities as soon as he leaves the hospital. Khalifa tries to win Shorouk's sympathy so that she will forgive him.
Hani escapes from rehab and goes to his father at the hospital, threatening to kill Tariq to take revenge. Hani tells Tariq that he knows his real parents, and Riyad is determined to leave the hospital despite his deteriorating condition.
Tariq pressures Hani to find out his parents' identities. Riyad leaves the hospital, travels to Minya, and recalls the time when he found Tariq. Risha finds Moamen's bag with his phone in it, and Shorouk tells Omar about it. Riyad meets Georgette and Mounir in their home in Minya.
In a flashback, Moamen sees Al Dawli and Risha led by Al Malek as they partake in organ trafficking. Moamen threatens them, so Al Malek decides to kill him. Al Malek, Risha, and Al Dawli are arrested on charges of Moamen's murder and organ trafficking. Hani dies, and Tariq meets his real parents.
