Khaled suggests to his wife Amal to sell her gold and open a workshop to improve their financial situation. A quarrel breaks out between Umm Walid and her son's wife, Rasul, about Rasul's pregnancy. It becomes clear that Rasul is taking birth control pills. Walid hits Mazen's son by his car and runs away.
Mazen collapses over the death of his young son, and in a quarrel, Amal accidentally kills Walid, and the police arrest her.
Umm Khaled asks her son to expel Rasul from the house, and when he refuses, she accuses her of theft. Amal is sentenced to life in prison, and Mazen visits Walid’s family home and an argument arises between him and Khaled.
Umm Khaled throws Rasul out of the house and insists on his marriage to their neighbor Nour. Amal gives birth to a baby girl.
Umm Khaled insists on taking Amal’s child, leaving her in the street, and tells her son Khaled that she is dead. Mazen finds her and decides to adopt her, while Khaled agrees to marry Nour.
Mona becomes attached to the child that Mazen brought her. Amal remembers her memories with Khaled, who marries Nour. Years later, Amal is released from prison and decides to search for her daughter, and her daughter, Worood, grows up and Mazen names her Farah.
Mazen tells his wife that he is worried about Worood finding out that they are not her real parents. Rasul tries to kill her sister Amal after a confrontation between them. Saja tells Amal the story of her marriage to Ahmed.
A young man tries to harass Heba inside the library, but the owner of the place defends her. Ahmed insists on marrying his sister, Amal, to Imad in exchange for the latter not demanding his money, and Amal goes to Khaled’s house to meet her daughter.
Amal travels to Baghdad, which angers Ahmed. She turns to her friend Maysaa to help her find her daughter. Mazen remembers the day he found Worood on the road when she was a baby. In the hospital, Mazen suspects that the child Saif was beaten.
Saif tells Mazen that his stepfather, Ihsan, is the one who beats him. As Worood follows Ihsan and films him, he beats her and she is taken to the hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, Nour quarrels with Khaled for keeping Amal’s things.
The police raid Ihsan's house, and he threatens to kill Saif. Amal decides to take revenge on Khaled when he tells her about their daughter's death.
Amal quarrels with Khaled when she cannot find her daughter's grave. Mustafa confesses his love for Worood and asks her to marry him, but she falls in love with Youssef. Meanwhile, Ahmed travels to Baghdad to search for Amal.
As she and Khaled fail to find their daughter's grave, Amal continues to have doubts that her daughter is still alive. Worood tells Mustafa that he is like her brother. Saja tells Ahmed that she is pregnant.
Amal becomes upset when she learns that Khaled is married to her best friend Nour, and believes that their daughter, Heba, is her own. Rasul's husband is upset by Saja's pregnancy. Mona quarrels with Worood over a voice recording that Youssef sent her in which he confesses his love for her.
Youssef quarrels with Mustafa, and Mustafa vows revenge. Umm Maysaa dies, and her husband asks Amal to leave the house. By chance, Mazen meets Amal and decides to help her find a job.
As Amal tells Worood about her time in prison and what Khaled did to her regarding her daughter, Mona objects to Mazen helping her. Amal recognizes Heba, believing her to be her daughter. Rasul's husband discovers that she has been taking birth control pills.
Khaled suspects that Amal is communicating with his daughter, Heba. Ahmed becomes angry when he hears Rasul talking about her divorce. Worood takes care of Amal and helps her with her work.
Rasul asks her ex-husband for forgiveness. Umm Mustafa tries to incite Mona against Amal. Youssef asks Mazen for Worood's hand in marriage. At the same time, Mazen receives an anonymous threatening message.
Heba's relationship with Haitham grows stronger. Nour asks Amal to stay away from Heba and tries to convince her that she is not her daughter. Mazen seeks to discover the nature of Worood's relationship with Youssef.
As Imad asks Rasul to convince Amal to marry him, Rasul returns to Hashem after suffering a health crisis. Mazen tells Mona that he has been threatened by an unknown person. Haitham refuses Heba's help with his mother and asks her to stay away from him.
It becomes clear that Ihsan is blackmailing Mazen, so the police arrest him. Mona tries to convince Worood to marry Youssef. Mustafa reveals his feelings for Worood and tells Rasha about it. Khaled threatens Ahmed and asks him to keep Amal away from his daughter, Heba.
Mazen thinks about telling Worood that he is not her real father. Worood and Youssef's engagement party is held, which breaks Mustafa's heart. Imad quarrels with Ahmed and forces him to pawn his car to pay off his debt.
Worood becomes jealous when she learns of Mustafa's relationship with her classmate Nada. Ahmed decides to sell the house to pay off his debt to Imad. Heba tries to reconnect with Haitham. Khaled gives Amal a lock of Heba's hair so she can have a DNA test to confirm that she is not her mother.
Heba tells Worood about her relationship with Amal and how she feels close to her. Khaled is upset about Heba's bond with Amal. Mazen reveals to Mona that Amal is Worood's biological mother and that she is the wife of Khaled, the brother of their son's killer.
Amal quits work so that Mazen doesn't discover her true identity. Khaled asks Haitham to stay away from his daughter. Nada tries to drive a wedge between Youssef and Worood. Amal decides to tell Heba that she is her mother.
As Khaled asks Amal to make Heba retake another DNA test, Heba attempts suicide, and Imad decides to take revenge on Ahmed for not paying his debts.
Khaled and Heba take Amal to take a DNA test. Amal is surprised when Ahmed insists that she return with him to marry Imad and sell the house. The latter attacks Saja and Rasul.
Saja has a miscarriage, while the police arrest Imad. Amal asks Mazen to drop the complaint against Ahmed so he can get out of prison. The DNA test shows that Heba is not Amal's daughter.
As her health deteriorates, Amal faints and is taken to the hospital. Mazen decides to reveal the truth that Worood is not his daughter, after which her fiancé Youssef abandons her because she is a foundling.
Mazen confesses to Amal that Worood is her daughter, and Worood marries Mustafa.
