Salah al-Deen Outhman Ibrahim Al Sa’dany was born in the district of al-Giza to a family with rural roots. Salah received his bachelor’s degree in agriculture. He started off as an amateur performing in the productions “Salah al-Deen” and “Thawrat al-Mawta” (“Revolt of the...Read more Dead”). Salah and A’del Imam graduated at around the same time and the pair worked together on the campus stage. Salah has performed on stage, television and cinema. Among his best known television series are “Abnaee al-A’izaa Shokran” (“Thank You My Dear Children”), “Arabesque”, “Helmy al-Ganouby” (“My Southern Dream”), “Sanawwat al-Houb wa al-Shaqaa” (“Years of Love and Toil”), “Layali al-Helmaya”, “Jisr al-Khatar” (“Bridge to Danger”), “al-Zawg Awal man Ya’lam” (“The Husband is the First to Know”), “Bayn al-Qasrein”, “Qasr al-Shawq” (“Fortress of Love”), “al-Nas fee Kafr ‘Askar” and “La li Seif al-Wardy”. Moreover, some of the well-known television shows with which he launched his career are “La Tutfei al-Shams” (“Don’t Turn Off the Sun”), “Thulathiyat al-Dahyaa” (“Triple”), “al-Raheel” (“The Departure”) and “al-Sakkya”. Also among his most important works are the plays “Zahrat al-Sabbar” (“Cactus Flower”), “al-Malik howa al-Malik” (“The King is the King”) and “Ballo”. Al-Sa’dany is the brother of writer Mahmoud al-Sa’dany. Salah’s roles in cinema were not as strong as his television roles. Amongst his film titles are “Hatem Zahran” and “Shahateen Nubalaa” (“Noble Beggars”).
