He is an Egyptian actor, director and author, born in Cairo in 1901, and studied at the Freres Schools and then joined the Credit Lyonnais Bank. He worked in the Egyptian theater at his start in 1920 before joining the Ramses Troupe in 1924, where he translated dozens of plays for the band. He traveled to France on a mission For directing from 1937 to 1939, and returned to directing in the National Ensemble, the Egyptian Acting and Music Ensemble, the Modern Egyptian Ensemble and the National Theatre. He is best known for his play Jealousy (1948), while one of his most prominent movies in the cinema is Love Street. His last movie was with Karam Mattawa in Sayed Darwish (1966), before his death on October 27, 1970.
