He was a filmmaker and actor. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws, then joined the Film Institute and graduated in 1964 from the Film Directing Division. He traveled to the United States of America in 1965 as an envoy from the Ministry of Culture to obtain a Phd. in cinematography from the University of California. He returned to Egypt in 1974 and was appointed as a professor at the Film Institute. He's known for the films Coma (1998), and Al Mawardi Cafe (1981). |
