A Syrian singer and actor, born in Dayr Sawwan, Afrin, Syria, in 1956 to parents who worked in farming and agriculture. He suffered a life of poverty and deprivation, and when he reached the age of twenty, he was summoned to perform compulsory service in the army until 1980 when he decided to travel to Aleppo, where he met great artists. He entered the artistic community and then devoted himself to singing, composing, and writing.
He used to perform at concerts and weddings, and he recorded eight albums as a singer and composer. He died at the peak of his career, at the age of 43, on November 4, 1999, in an unfortunate car accident that claimed his life while returning from one of his concerts. He was buried in his hometown, the village of Dayr Sawwan.
