She was nominated for this role for a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. After her success in Teen Patti, she signed 3 new film contracts with Yash Raj Films. She then appeared in the comedy Luv Ka The End. She won the Stardust Award for Best Actress. She signed another deal with Vishesh Films to participate in Aashiqui 2, which caused her contract with Yash Raj Films to be canceled. In 2013, she entered the world of musical drama by performing the role of a singer in a small-town bar. Aashiqui 2 earned global revenues amounting to 18 million dollars. In the same year, she appeared as a guest in the romantic comedy Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, playing the fiancée of the character played by actor Imran Khan. She starred in Mohit Suri's film Ek Villain (2014).
