After her success in Teen Patti, she signed 3 new film contracts with Yash Raj Films, besides appearing in the comedy Luv Ka The End where she played the lead role of a teenage girl who plots against her ex-boyfriend after he cheated on her. She won the Stardust Award for Best Actress. Although she was nominated for a leading role in Aurangzeb as part of her deal with Yash Raj Films. She signed another deal with Vishesh Films to participate in Aashiqui 2, which caused her contract with Yash Raj Films to be cancelled. In 2013, she entered the world of musical drama by performing the role of a singer in a small town bar. Aashiqui 2 earned global revenues amounting to 18 million dollars. In the same year, she appeared as a guest in the romantic comedy Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, playing the fiancée of actor Imran Khan. She starred in Suri's film Ek Villain (2014).
