A Saudi actress and media personality, born as Salwa Abdel Moeen Shaker in the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. She is the niece of the writer and historian Fouad Shaker. She earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences in 1981. She started her career by presenting children's programs.
She began writing in the press when she was about fifteen years old, but she did not continue in the press because of her work on radio and television and her studies. She married actor Abdel Aziz Al Hammad in 1970, then completed her studies in America with her husband, and specialized in the field of media communication. Her official breakthrough in the media was after her graduation when she was appointed as the first female official employee, and she returned to presenting programs, both on radio and television, and then entered the field of acting. She's known for Country People (2013) and The Other Side (1968).
