Egyptian soprano and opera singer, who started her artistic career at the age of seven and learned to play the piano and sing. She joined the Conservatoire, where she studied art and opera singing, and graduated from the institute in the piano department. She then traveled to Germany to study operatic singing under the supervision of the German professor Entesyn. She obtained a Ph.D. and became the first Egyptian soprano to sing in the Main Hall when the new Egyptian Opera House opened in 1988. She is known for the play The Khedive (1993) and the musical play Les Miserables (2014).
