Among the jobs he held: Actor in the National Acting Troupe, Department of Cinema and Theater in 1969, Director of the National Acting Troupe, Department of Cinema and Theater in 1970, Lecturer at the College of Fine Arts, Department of Art Education, University of Baghdad in 1989, Director of the National Acting Ensemble in 1990, and Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture in the University of Derna, Libya in 1995. He directed the plays The Hairy Monkey, The Ancestors Are Getting Fierce, and Where Are They Now? He acted in Al-Qadisiyya and The Bitter Winter.
