Ahmed Samir was a media personality and artist, born in Zagazig in 1940. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Cairo University in 1961. He also obtained postgraduate studies in media, acting, recitation, and television art. He joined television in early 1963 and worked as a broadcaster for news bulletins. He rose in media positions from news anchor to chief broadcaster of news and political programs, then vice president of Channel One. He was a lover of art and has engaged in artistic and theatrical activity since 1964, in addition to his work on television. He acted in three plays: The Trap, The Earthquake, and Three Wise Madmen. He wrote for the cinema the three films Pincer, The Hustlers, and The Game. He also wrote for television script and dialogue for two series: Escape to the Unknown, and The Age of Khanka. He has two novels: The Age of Victims, and Tomorrow Will Not Be Lost, My Love.
