An American actress, and singer-songwriter, born in California, on October 25, 1980. Katy released her first album in 2001 titled Katy Hudson, which contained several Christian songs, but eventually, she moved away from Christian songs and her family name to establish her own artistic career. She rose to fame in 2007, when she released a song called "Ur So Gay". In 2008, Perry released her single I Kissed a Girl, for which she was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 51st Grammy Awards in 2009. After that, Perry released her album One of the Boys. In 2010, Perry released a new album, Teenage Dream, which sold nearly 2 million copies in the United States and 5 million worldwide. |
