A Lebanese choreographer and founder of the Tanit Troupe for Modern Theatrical Dance in Brussels, Belgium, and director of the Egyptian School of Modern Dance affiliated with the Cairo Opera House in Egypt. He was born in Tripoli. He joined the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, studying graphic and visual arts. He began his journey as a designer of scenography, decor, and costumes in Brussels, Paris, and Tokyo. He founded the Tanit Troupe for Modern Theatrical Dance in 1979 in Belgium.
The second stop in his life was in Egypt, where he spent twenty years. Between 1990 and 1991, he directed and choreographed two performances for the Cairo Opera Ballet Company, and in 1993, he was officially commissioned by the Egyptian Minister of Culture to establish the first modern dance theater troupe in Egypt and the Arab world affiliated with the Egyptian Opera House. He also directed shows for the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and was hired to direct the closing ceremony of the Cairo Film Festival.
