He joined the Egyptian Military College and graduated as a Yemeni officer, where he returned to his country and worked as a teacher at the Yemeni Military College and reached the rank of advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Yemen. He trained several Yemeni and Somali clubs and led the Yemen national team in 1975. The famous sports critic, "Naguib Al-Mistakawi" called him "Ali Atlas" in relation to the Atlas brand missile, as his kick to the ball was at the speed of the missile. He participated in the movie City's Talk in 1964 and played the role of Essam's friend. He died on November 26, 1993.
