He obtained a BA of Arts and Education from the Department of English, Helwan University and a BA of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Department of Acting and Direction. He worked as an English language teacher immediately after graduating...Read more from university, but his artistic career started since he was a student in the preparatory stage. He acted in Birds Without Wings (1978) with Ahmed Zaki and Tayseer Fahmy. He presented nearly 40 dramatic works to the Egyptian TV, in addition to starring in many films and plays. He became the official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Education. He is known for Hell 2 (Hurghada).
