Salma El-Sharkawy |
An American actor, born in New York, United States. He attended the University of Alabama. He fought in World War II with the US Army Air Forces. During his service, he was shot down over Romania while flying. He later spent two years as a prisoner of war, and after the war, he obtained a master’s degree from Columbia University. He later went on to head the drama department at Barnard College. He also participated in Broadway plays and made his screen debut in The Young Doctors (1961). He is known for Heaven Can Wait (1978) and The Wanderers (1979).
