Spanish actor born in Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain on January 7, 1916. He won the Spanish Film Award in 1962 and 1971 for Best Actor, won the CEC Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1973, and was awarded the Almeria Western Film Festival Honorary Award in 2016. He was married to actress Maite Pardo. He had worked in Spanish, Italian, German and American cinema. He appeared in a number of Spanish horror films during the sixties and seventies, and appeared in 5 Greek war films, and also presented many roles in European films. Among his most important works are: La guerrilla (1973), The Son of Captain Blood (1962), and The Boldest Job in the West (1972). He died in Madrid, Spain on July 31, 1990, following surgery to remove a pancreatic tumor.
