An Icelandic actor, born in Hafnarfjörður on the Icelandic coast. He studied at the Iceland University of the Arts, graduating and making his acting debut in 1994 in the traditional Icelandic soap opera Áramótaskaupið. He has appeared in numerous television, theater, and film productions, most notably in the Dr. Seuss play, in which he played the Grinch, the series LazyTown (2002), the films Jóhannes (2009), and Harry og Heimir (2014). In 2016, he was diagnosed with bile duct cancer, and the disease caused his death on August 21, 2018.
